wearing Mia

I never wore Mia when she was a little baby and I've long since wished I could have experienced that with her! I'm not sure if baby wearing was just starting to get really big when I had her, or if I just didn't have the wraps/slings so I didn't get more educated, but I didn't really know baby wearing was a thing. I can't even tell you how excited I was when a friend from Mothers Lounge reached out and asked if we would like to review their slings. These hold up to 35 pounds and since Mia is such a little thing, I knew these would be perfect for us!
We were sent a sling from Seven Everyday Slings and one from Hot Slings. The biggest difference between the two is that the Hot Slings have adjustable straps which will come in handy as Mia gets bigger/taller. But we love both slings just the same (I just gotta work on our positioning and get Mia's knees above her bum, oops!) and it's such a relief to have them!
Eric works long hours so I'm usually on my own to keep Mia entertained... while trying to get dinner ready. This is usually Mia's neediest time of the day whether she wants to be held and loved, or she wants to be right in my business and trying to help. I can't tell you how many times I've wished I could just strap her to me so that I can have both hands free to continue throwing dinner together (hence my relief for our beloved slings!) In the last week and a half that we've had our slings, I've used them almost every day (usually in the kitchen!) They were a life saver the night after Christmas... Mia was so exhausted from the week of fun so I threw her in a sling and she rested her head on my shoulder while I made dinner. I loved the snuggles (they are so rare these days!) while having both hands free to make dinner at the same time! I've used the sling when Mia has wanted to help with dishes as well as the cooking, and it was so easy to throw a coat on her to run a load out to the trash. I knew she was secure and warm and didn't have to worry about holding her hand and keeping her from slipping on ice. It really is the best feeling knowing I can put Mia in a sling instead of having her wrapped around my legs and crying to be held when I am elbow deep in food or dishes! We love our slings!

So cool! I have old back injuries, so I was never able to do this with Hallie either!

I know, you don't really think of using slings as they get older but they're great. I have a friend who uses them and doesn't even put another hand around her kid, they're that secure!

I didn't bear wear Mason when he was little either but I so wish I did! I would have loved to have him near me all the time and snuggled up with me while he was sleeping. I think I used an ergo my sister in law lent me only a couple times and I definitely didn't use it to it's full potential! Now poor Mason is wayyyyy to heavy to do that but I do wish I had one of those to help hold him now that he is heavier.

That thing is genius!! You can carry her around and still have both your hands free! And in those first few pictures by the tree I totally thought Mia had pink hair for a second. Then I realized it's the red Christmas light reflecting off her pretty blonde hair! Haha! Have a great weekend love!!!

Too cute! I have an Ergo and Moby wrap that I've worn a few times each, but I need to remember to get it out more. So nice to be hands free!

Extra snuggles and hands free? These sounds like a huge win-win.

Amazing! I didn't wear Ainsley that much! I have the solly wrap but it's just a lot of work. I might get a sling for Ainsley! Y'all ar

I have never worn Marli, but I sure do carry her a lot and never even thought to get one of these! She is approaching 30 lbs soon and I can only hold her on one side for a few minutes and then she slooooowly starts slipping down to my knees. Haha! Love the prints of these too :)

I totally wish I had known of baby wearing when my daughter was little, but didn't until she was already 2. So sad :( This sling looks so cool though for older kids!
