Beautiful post... I definitely miss that sense of unity that we had in the days following September 11. I can't believe it's been 14 years. I've just started working with students who don't remember a pre-9/11 world... which makes me undescribably sad for them.
I sadly forgot what today was until I got on the blogging world. Ok, I didn't forget the day but I didn't realize today was Sept 11th. I can't believe it's been 14 years already. It still seems like just yesterday.
I will never forget that day. its so crazy that its already been 14 years.... goodness

I can't believe it was 14 years ago. It feels so much more recent. I live just across the border in Canada but visit the states all the time and because we're so close, I totally get all teary every year for all those who lost their loved ones.
