What a weekend! I am still trying to recuperate... I'm feeling very physically and emotionally drained. We went to Colorado to my Grandad's funeral. It finally hit me that he's gone, and I sure do miss him. He truly was the center of our family, and held us together the way any grandpa should. It was so sweet to hear every one's memories of him. I hope to be as loving as he was!
While the funeral was heart breaking; it was SO great to see my family! I have missed some of my cousins so much! We have a huge family... my grandparents had 6 kids, 22 grand kids, 44(ish?) great grand kids, and 4 great great grand kids. Wowzas!
The best part about the weekend for me was spending so much time with Trevor and Alycia (my brother and sister in law) I'm pretty sure that our husbands loved that we never stopped talking. Eric told me that we made his ears sore.. hahaha! I'm so grateful that I have the best sisters in law (including Eric's sisters) to make up for my sisterless child hood haha :)

WOW! How have I never known that Alycia was your SIL?? She just guest posted for me today with a "quick recipe", and she had mentioned that Trevor's grandfather had died. I never put two and two together! I love Alycia and I love you! :-)

aww funerals are kind of a bummer, but kind of uplifting. I'm sure he lived an amazing life. Looks like you guys had fun. Colorado looks beautiful!
Funerals are definitely not the most fun thing. But memories are wonderful and spending time with family is wonderful as well. Also, sisters-in-law are the best!!
funerals are no fun but...on the bright side, it looks like you had so much time with your fam. I had no idea you and Alyica were sister in-laws. I love both of your blogs so, you two together seems like quite the awesome combination.

I'm so sorry about your Grandpa! It is so hard and bittersweet even when they are older and have lived a good life...I'm glad you got to catch up with family. Sounds like it was a good weekend- hopefully this week is chill so you can recover from how draining everything has been. Take care!!!

I completely understand what you mean about being completely DRAINED...I felt the same way. I was more tired the night of the funeral than I was after running a half marathon. Glad you got to be with family, though!
You are so blessed to have sisters-in-law that you feel so close to! That rock with a hole may have been a waste of time...but the pics look totally cool!
