these two... {L'ovedbaby}
If it seems like I take a million photos of my kids, well, it's because I do take a million photos of my kids ;) I admit that I love showing off how cute they are (totally biased mom speaking) but more importantly, I love looking back on these photos when I'm having a rough moment. I am instantly humbled as I look at their sweet faces and my heart bursts with love! I quickly forget why I was having a rough moment in the first place. Mia and James, they are such a blessing to our family! Eric and I couldn't be more grateful!
Outfits c/o L'ovedbaby
Do you know what else I'm grateful for? Adorable, matching outfits! What can I say, I'm easy to please ;) The best part is that Mia thinks it's the best thing ever to match her brother! These beautiful organic outfits from L'ovedbaby are our favorite! I don't really know how to accurately describe how soft and cozy these outfits are, but they are the softest clothes we own! I want a million more outfits for the kids and I really wish I could get some leggings in my size :) Seriously though, L'ovedbaby offers the cutest prints... and have I mentioned how soft the clothing is?! Where are the heart eye emojis for computer keyboards?! That's how much I adore my kids and these clothes!

five on... Thursday?
Talk found here.
Talk found here.
Talk found here.
The most powerful and inspiring talk on mothers found here.
Every year (twice a year to be exact) we enjoy a weekend at home being spiritually fed as we watch/listen to LDS General Conference. I usually post some of my favorite quotes just days after the session, but I've been a little behind thanks to one precious newborn ;) Conference weekend was just days after James was born so between family in town and me sleeping every chance I got, I only heard bits and pieces of the talks throughout the weekend. But I've since been enjoying listening to them, especially during late night feedings when it's quiet and I can really concentrate on what's being said. I always hear just what I need to hear during these talks! It brings such comfort to be reminded how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us, not to mention how important families are! Whether you are LDS or not, there is great council, advice and comfort to be found in these talks!

James' newborn photos {pt 1}
My Top c/o Pink Blush Maternity
Goodness, I can't believe how much James has grown and changed since his newborn photos were taken when he was just one week new! He's chunked up and filled out in the face, and my favorite part is the hair that's grown in on the top of his head, eliminating the old man hair do he was born with ;) We've also discovered a wicked cowlick along his forehead. He inherited that from daddy ;)
We went with a casual, in home photo shoot and James was such a dream! He was awake for the first part so we snapped some family photos, I fed him and he fell asleep for the most dreamy photos!! I mean, just look at that sleepy smile above... melt my heart!
You know me and photos... I'll be sharing another post or two of these pictures ;) But James is just so perfect, I can't help myself!

my favorite Halloween
Our first Halloween as a family of FOUR was one for the books! We started celebrating a week before with a couple different trunk or treats, just to warm Mia up for the real deal on Halloween night ;) Our friends invited us to a neighborhood party where they close down the street, brought in bounce houses and even had a DJ! There was tons of food and candy. Actually, there were so many distractions that Mia didn't have the patience for actual trick or treating, ha ha! We made it to a couple houses and that was about it! But Mia was obsessed with the slide and went down by herself!!! Have you seen how big and steep those bounce house slides are?! She is one brave girl :) She ate cheeto puffs for dinner, fell in love with Cinderella (and at one point Mia lifted up her dress and tried to run and hide under it, BAH! Eric grabbed her and pulled her away from Cinderella before she could get all the way under, hahaha!) and danced the night away! She seriously danced/jumped non stop for a good hour - hour and a half! Her very favorite thing was the smoke machine, it was nearly impossible to tear her away from the corner of the dance area :) Sweet baby James just slept the night away! His first Halloween couldn't have been more exciting ;)
Mia picked out their costumes this year and little Mickey and Minnie Mouse will forever hold a special place in my heart from now on! While I was pregnant, Mia really wanted to be Elsa and told me that baby brother could be Olaf. But we were in the Disney store and showed Mia the baby Mickey onesie and she instantly changed her mind to Minnie and Mickey and never looked back! She talked about their costumes all the time when I was pregnant and loved them even more when she got to see them on herself and James :) It has been the sweetest thing! Oh how I love my little Mickey and Minnie mouse!
