weekend review {Colorado}

Eric and I were finally able to line up our schedules to go visit my grandma! Mia and I went back in March but I have been dying to make a trip back with Eric ever since Mia was born! My grandma lives near the four corners area... I'm not even sure how many hours away that is, all I know is that it takes all day to travel with a mobile baby who needs lots of stops to stretch her legs ;) Or maybe it was the fact that after we'd get back on the road after every stop, she would poop 10 minutes later so that we would have to pull over again. I know, that's disgusting! But if we had to suffer through it.... so should everyone else ;) ha ha. Traveling with a baby is SO different!

 I'm kind of in love with this picture.. silly Mia! And thank you, Kyna, for this outfit. I die over its cuteness!

The hours on the road were so worth it when we reached Grandma's home! She was SO happy to see Mia. And to make the trip even sweeter, some of my aunts and uncles were in town and got to meet our baby as well!

Grandma will be 98 in a week! She is an amazing woman.

Mia was definitely every one's entertainment for the weekend. It's seems crazy to say out loud, but we could watch her play all day long and never get bored :) It helps that Mia likes to show off! The best part was watching everyone fall in love with Mia. This girl possesses the sweetest gift of bringing love and joy that never existed before into the lives of each person she meets! And no one deserves that love and joy more than my Grandma... I'm so grateful we were able to spend that time with her!

Driving with kids is a whole new kind of hell. Or maybe that's just my kids!

Mia looks so big, but any time you post her weight, she weighs less than Axel. Something about pictures? Or maybe I still think Axel is a new born (8 months!) and so I don't really notice how big he's gotten. Probably that.

Trust me, I always say I can just sit and stare at my kids all day and never get bored, so you're not alone there!

Looks like such a sweet visit with your Grandma!

aww...I love that Mia was able to see her great-grandma! Elyse has all 4 of her great-grands on my side still living and it's such a precious blessing that she is able to know them!

I can't tell who's cuter... Grandma (who's almost 98!!) or ms Mia. I think Mia wins- but grandma definitely comes in close second ;)
