10 months! And yes, the bow is actually as obnoxious as it seems in the picture. But I love it :)
- Our
little mover figured out how to climb stairs on September 21st (one day
after turning 9 months)! She LOVES to go up them but has no clue how to
go down, ha ha! She's pretty speedy, too! - Mia is getting better and better at standing all by herself! She stands the best when she is distracted by holding something in her hands. It's so neat to see the triumph in her face when she is about to topple over but regains her balance just in time :)
- She has been nodding her head up and down for a couple months now, but she just figured out shaking her head from side to side in the past couple of weeks. She doesn't know that it means "no", obviously. It's stinking cute for now! I'm sure it won't be as cute when she shakes her head at me and means no ;)
- Mia's hair has been growing like crazy! It's gotten long on top and in the back... in other words she has totally sprouted a mullet :) It's not long on the sides but it seems to be filling in! I'm tempted to give her her first haircut one of these days!
- One of her favorite things to do is open and close doors. She will sit there for minutes (which is a big deal, ha!) and close the door, stick her fingers through the crack and pull it back open! She thinks it's especially funny when one of us is in the room on the opposite side of the door... it's her own version of peak-a-boo!
- Mia is SO giving of her kisses and it melts my heart! Just the other day I caught her kissing her book, looking at it and then laughing, ha ha! Who knows what was going through her mind? But I do know that books are her favorite and she has made the connection to kiss what she loves! And each morning when I get her out of her crib I snuggle her close and whisper "give me a kiss" and she always does! Now I need to teach her to blow kisses!
- She rarely eats baby food! Mia eats whatever we eat for all 3 meals! If we are out and about then I'll give her a pouch but seriously, she just eats off our plates if we go out to eat or eats whatever I make for dinner! And she'll eat anything. The girl loves her food!
- Mia loves crying babies! She gets so excited and laughs when she hears a baby cry! In fact, she loves to watch videos of herself on my phone, but her favorite video is one of her throwing a tantrum and screaming bloody murder ha ha! She's a bit of a weirdo :)
- We finally put the 3-6 month clothes away (except for a couple shirts, her Gap skinny jeans and her 3 month jacket) and are dressing Mia in 6-9 month clothes, yay! It's been fun putting together new outfits! She stays in each size for so long that I get sick of the clothes!
- And she still wears size 2 diapers.
It's hard to tell in this picture but she is totally standing by herself!
I think it's safe to say that these past 10 months went way faster than the 10 months (because really, pregnancy lasts longer than 9 months. Especially if you go past your due date) of pregnancy I endured to bring Mia into this world! And it's just. not. fair. But I wouldn't trade this time, or my pregnancy, for anything in the world! We don't know how we ever lived without Mia!

Ethan was the same way! By 8-9 months, he refused all purees (which we didn't begin to offer until 6 months anyway, so it was shortlived) except for the occasional pouch snack (which he still likes at age 2, like for after swim lessons or something). He would just eat whatever we ate. He is an AWESOME eater and will devour anything you put in front of him, so I always hope for the same luck if I have another kiddo one day!
She is so sweet!!!
Aww! Happy 10 Months! She is so precious!
I saw this dress in Target a few months ago and it made me have TOTAL baby fever!! I told my husband we have to have another baby JUST so I can put this dress on her. Because we obviously will have another girl (we have three already!). :) Mia looks adorable in the dress and isn't helping my baby fever!! :) Yay for 10 months!!!
I know I've said this A THOUSAND TIMES..Savanna has the same dress:) I love it. SO cute!! I can't get over how adorable her little teeth are in the front and I laughed when you talked about her kissing her book and laughing. Melts my heart. :) Can't believe she is still so tiny! Savanna is almost out of some of her 3-6 month clothes and she's not even 5 months. Makes me sad and happy at the same time because she has tons of new 6-9 month outfits to wear!
Happy 10 months!!! What a cute picture, she is so sweet. I love the dress and the hair bow.
She looks super cute as always!
HAHA, love that she likes to laugh at the video of herself crying. Too funny.
Why is your baby so adorable?! It's so fun to see all their little milestones :) babies are definitely the best thing ever.
OOHHHHH the baby mullet! My little monkey has it too :P! Your little flower child is adorable! Happy ten months little one!

Haha baby mullet, love the ginormous flower. Can your daughter show my son how to eat please? I wish he would just eat what we ate! Also, mt son is almost 3, sniff, sniff, and the other day i put him in a 12 month shirt! We have the same problem, he's in clothes for so long that a) we get tired of seeing them and b) are happy when the weather changes so we can buy other things :-)
Oh my goodness, I can't believe she's 10 months old!! What a little cutie!!
Oh my gosh, she's just a doll!!! Love :)

She is the CUTEST! I love her in that dress... And giant headband!! It's sheer perfection. And she sounds like she's one awesome 10 month old. I wanna play date!

Goodness, she's cute! And tiny! Grayson is on the verge of outgrowing his size 2 diapers, and I'm afraid the 3-6 month clothes are going to be packed away in the next week or two...and he'll be six months Thursday! Must be a girl thing...seems like most little girls are petite :) She's precious!
It's amazing how similar she is to my Abbie - she turned 10 months today and is doing SO many of the same things...the stairs, the standing the head shaking (which I agree, is stinking cute).
She is SO cute!!! I adore that flower you put in her hair. :-)
that purple dress is so darling!
at least her hair is really light. We have neighbors who's daughter is sporting the baby mullet also but her hair is dark so it looks pretty funny right now.
That's funny that she likes when babies cry. hahha
loving the banner at the bottom of the post :) looks good!!
Oh my gosh, that first photo is AMAZING! Something about the angle, and how green the grass is, and of course the BOW! Dang she is rocking that thing, I love it!!

She is adorable! My son is almost 4 months and I can't even get over how quick time is going - I can't even imagine him at 10 months!
She looks darling, such a big milestone coming up! Her dress is too cute, Tarjay?

Oh my, she is so so beautiful!
Going down the stairs is the tricky part, and baby mullets rock! That bow is intense haha. Aria refuses to have anything on her head. And, I am with you Aria, lasted for what seemed ages in each size I was happy to get new things to put her in - that ended at the 9 month size and now it seems she goes through a size at warp speed! What a doll, happy 10 months Mia =)
I cannot stop reading your posts! I gave birth on the 41st week was that what you were referring to?
My husband was with Zoárd while I was doing a yoga class and when I came back he was whispering to me: our son might have a neurological problem because he is shaking his head nervously. I reassured him that after his famous head nodding, he is probably starting his first head shaking side to side. :P
Interestingly Zoárd gets upset when he hears other babies cry. Though I have to add we live in a five star hotel (my husband is the general manager) and we stay in the room a lot and he only sees babies when hotel guests decide on flying to Thailand with their little one.
I understand your liking towards bows. I am like that with beanies. Check this out:
