summer lovin'

Fall is almost here.  Evidence is everywhere.   Decor in the stores, blog posts, the chilly mornings, excitement in the atmosphere.  And I'm dreading it..... just throwin' that out there :)  I love fall, truly I do.  But I haaate the winter.  And winter follows too closely to fall!  I can feel your glares all the way through blog land so let me explain myself :)
The climate that I lived in until one year ago was hot and dry.  It was summer from April-October.  We really only had to wear winter coats from December-February, and it was heavenly :)  Where I live now....let's just say that summer didn't truly come until mid-June.  I swear.  And I was miserable.  I'm hoping that winter will be better for me this year because I have more friends, I've adjusted to my new home, I understand that winter will most likely last until June, and I have all my bloggy friends for support :)  But if I'm being honest here....I'd be one happy girl if summer lasted a few more months!

This is a little man after my heart.  He's nicknamed me "Corby" and it melts my heart each time he says it!  Watch out Eric ;)

If the days could be spent like this, you know you'd want summer to last as long as possible too :)
On a different note... I'd love you forever if you'd check out my guest post :)  I may be the worst person to accept dating tips from, but it might be fun to read!  Plus you'll love Ashley's blog!

Oh, I'm the opposite of you. I HATE summer! I'm so excited to be rid of it...fall can't come quickly enough. I don't love winter, but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as summer. I mean, if it's cold you can bundle up...if it's hot you just sweat and want to die. At least that's been my experience! But your pictures do look super fun! :)

Oh what I would do for some cooler weather right now. Florida has been downright sweaty and hot every day for months now. I'm looking forward to winter though, because I hear it's nice here (maybe 70 degrees or something) that time of year.

I can totally relate to your moving from climate to climate. It's rough switching around the things you get so used to over time. I hope winter will be nice to you this year. (:

I have been soaking up pool time while I still can! I can't get enough of it. Cute guest post by the way :)

Ahhh I love pool time! I'm hoping to get out there today! I wish we could add a few months of winter to the other seasons...winter in SL is just too long lately!!!

One thing is for sure, those glares you felt were NOT mine. I am so not a fan of cold weather...but I do love fall!

Way to make the most out of the summer instead of sitting around waiting for fall haha.

haha Girl, you know I'm a winter girl, so maybe I can cheer you up...

Just focus on the good things like:
pumpkin spice lattes (or steamers)
hot coco dates with husband
snuggling by a fire and watching Christmas movies
the billion ways to style scarves
mittens (because they are just too darn cute)
layering clothes (to hide the festive goodies that add pounds)

It will be better this year. You will see. I will help you through it!

haha summer is great, but not so much in Vegas! It gets over 100 and is sooo miserable! But then when winter comes it's way warmer than UT. As nice as that may be, I miss the snow! I'm a Utah girl :)

As a Utahn, I know how it gets when the seasons change. I love love love Fall, and I feel like we get gipped on fall a lot. It almost moves right into winter. Blah!

I'm TORN !!
I love fall, it's truly my favorite season. But part of me loves winter - cuddling up and hot cocoa and all that. And part of me hates, well - the cold.

So I agree, it'd be cool to only wear heavy clothes for 3 months out of the year!!!

Living in Minnesota, summer is from August 15- August 31st. Seriously, I caught absolutely NO sun this summer and can't think of more than maybe 5 lovely days. What a drag! I feel your pain... only worse. However, fall is amazing and I will cherish it for the one month it is here without snow. After that, it's winter from October to April. Gotta love it! Oh, and hey, I've been invited to Vegas next fall, so you'll have to tell me where all the good spots are!! ;)

Winter is the only season I don't really like...this reminds me though...I need to be living it up while it is still warm outside.

I LOVE Summer too! I think after our honeymoon I'll be ready for Fall though! But just FALL..... no Winter. Eww!

you're hot. Also, I'm kinda jealous of your husbands name. I love Clint and all, but I wish his name was Eric. Little Mermaid was always my favorite. But then again, that might not be a solid foundation. Eric in the little mermaid was a little bit crazy. I mean, he wanted to marry a gir based soley on her voice. That just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
