what's in Mia's {diaper} bag

Have your diaper bag essentials changed as much as mine have as Mia grows?! I've simplified so much, but I must admit that I haven't been able to totally part with the diaper bag, yet. I just love the changing pad so much, plus the comfort it brings knowing that it's my diaper bag so I can throw whatever crap I need (or don't need, but it all fits just the same, ha ha) in it. I don't feel like I can do that to my purses, yet. But I'll get there! So here's what goes in our bag:
  • Diapers and wipes, obviously. (Although I have been known to forget wipes... wet paper towels to the rescue, ha!)
  • Sippy cup. Mia loves her water so we always have it on hand!
  • Snacks because she gets a mean case of "hangry"... it runs in the family :)
  • Sunscreen. Mia has been sunburned once and it broke. my. heart. So I do my best to be prepared now!
  • Books. I have had the best luck finding these tiny books for our little book worm, they are so easy to lug around!
  • Infant Tylenol because you never know when you'll need it, especially during teething!
  • Band aids! Mia loves to run faster than her little feet can carry her, so she has tripped and scraped her knee more than once while we are out and about.
  • The blasted binky because Mia demands to have it in the car. It's time to get rid of it but I won't lie, I'm terrified of the process!
I'm excited to see what's in your bag! Be sure to check out the topics below and link up with us each week! xoxo

Oh my gosh, your diaper bag is the cutest! Though Marcus is potty trained we still carry baby wipes. Those things are amazing for EVERYTHING (wiping hands, blowing noses). And now, instead of diapers we always carry an extra pair of pants and "big boy undies." The diaper bag is a never ending an evolution of necessary items. :)

Yep, I totally carry way less these days! When he was an infant I practically packed the house to go to the doctor's office!

My girls are 10 and 7....and I STILL carry some form of 'diaper bag'...minus the diapers, of course! haha ;)

The best when they get a little older and you can carry way less! I wonder how I carried so much all the time!

I love how little you carry around -and it still seems to be plenty and just what you need. Our bag is filled with similar things -only, lots and lots of snacks, that boy... so it seems to take up more space than I like. eh, oh well. At least it's not the whole house like it used to be :)

I have totally forgot wipes too, NIGHTMARE lol! Looks like we pretty much carry the same stuff! It's nice to travel lighter once they're toddlers!

One time while we were at the ocean I actually ran out of wipes so embarrassed me had to ask a total stranger if they had some to spare haha! Love her bag BTW!

It's been a long time since I've carried a diaper bag! But, I still carry wipes with me everywhere. I am certain Mason is more messy at 4 years old than he was as a baby!

My daughter loves books and they're essential for our diaper bag as well.

I forced myself to use my purse instead of a diaper bag when my son was born and I think it really helped me skip the over-packing stage :) But now looking at your list (along with some of the others in the link-up) I feel a bit like I'm under-packing these days! I seriously only pack some wipes and a diaper (two diapers if I'm still anticipating a poopy diaper for the day).

I love your bag! It's funny how the older they get, the less we start to carry. I dream of the days of not having a diaper bag at all haha.

I pretty much stopped carrying a diaper bag once Lyla was 2 and potty trained. And even then I had bought a small tote and just carried those 2 things in it and a sippy cup. Now at 3 I don't carry anything at all for her haha. I don't bother with snacks or drinks because I can just buy those when we're out! If I were to take her on a day long trip where we'd be out the majority of the time I might grab a larger purse and throw in snacks, though!

Oh man! I had a post for this drafted and I didn't know that you guys were posting today (or yesterday? what day is it? LOL). Bummer.
But yes, my diaper bag has evolved too! I think I will forever carry wipes though because those things are perfect for everything. Even wiping adult hands sometimes!

Yes! I have streamlined a lot now if we just have a short trip, but K always wants her water and I still just don't trust any bottle yet not to leak in my purse. And I carry a TON more snacks because it's my distraction ammunition against these toddler tantrums!
