weekend love

Our weekend was super laid back and it was just nice to hang around home with my family! Our next few weekends will be crazy busy (but so fun!) so we did our best to soak up some relaxing time! It's the simple moments, real life moments, that make us so happy anyway :)
We had company Friday night, which Mia loved! She loves having people in our home so here's an open invitation to come visit anytime ;) ha ha. I really love how social Mia is, I hope that always sticks with her. Anyway, Saturday we took Mia to my parents so that Eric and I could enjoy an afternoon date! We went on a much needed Temple visit, where we received some awesome council that was just what our hearts needed reminding of. God has blessed me with a beautiful marriage and unfortunately it's easy to lose sight of how important that relationship with Eric is. But I am forever grateful that I can navigate life hand in hand with my sweetheart... from here to eternity :) After the Temple the possibilities were endless! So what did we end up doing?? We ran errands... Obviously we suck at planning, ha ha! I'm definitely making it more of a point to go on more dates so that we can practice planning funner stuff! But it was fun to go shopping, get Christmas gift ideas, etc. Gosh, I miss having places to shop!! After spending time with my parents, we took Mia to dinner then did a little last minute shopping before heading home. While Eric was looking at golf stuff (boring! ;)) Mia and I ran next door to Gap to browse for a minute. We found a darling little fedora hat in the clearance section and Mia fell in love! It was so cheap that I had to buy it and she's totally obsessed with it now :) Not only is Mia super social, she's ridiculously opinionated and I absolutely love it, for the most part ;)
Sunday was a chill day at home for us, literally! The winds picked up and it was a really chilly day! I am not looking forward to winter and it will be here before we know it! But we went on a gorgeous walk up the canyon trail and soaked in the golden leaves! I'm thankful for the low key weekend we were able to spend together, I love my people!

REally though - I love running errands together :-) Otherwise I'd just be doing them alone! But you both definitely need to get in a date night (or even weekend... to say... Portland?) ;-)

LOL that sounds like the kind of dates my husband and I go on. We get so excited to get out of the house together that we fail to actually plan anything and then end up wandering around Target or running errands.
Happy Monday!

a fedora! that is awesome. I adore the opinions...so far, mostly. I was sorting laundry and holding up Aria's halloween selection of clothes and she said no no no and then came to her new orange shorts from her yia-yia and she got so excited! Then she came back over and nabbed a shirt she'd previously no-ed to go with it, which matched perfectly. Better style than mom already!
