you might be a redneck if....

A couple days ago I hung pretty Christmas bows and Christmas lights on my balcony. All was well until I unplugged the lights (I wrapped them while they were plugged in to be sure they were all working) and plugged them back in. The last half stopped working! What the crap? I had another strand of white lights but the first half didn't work. They were a sight for sore eyes... that is for sure!
When Eric got home from work I asked him if he could fix the lights or if I should just go to the store and buy a new box. He tried changing out some bulbs but he couldn't get either strand back to 100%. I was pretty bummed but he told me not to worry because my baby can fix anything :) A few minutes later he called out that he'd fixed the problem!

He cut the working strands and spliced them together! Haha, I am positive it would've been SO much easier to just run to the store and buy a new box of lights, but my baby has learned that a happy wife is a happy life.... and I wanted working Christmas lights :) Eric was SO proud of himself, how can I not be happy about this?! I am so lucky to be married to Mr. Fix It! I think I'll have to keep him around ;)
