What I planned for the weekend:
- Finally go see Breaking Dawn.
- Eat Cafe Rio... free meal!
- Go see the Christmas lights at Temple Square.
- Take lots and lots of pictures.
- Visit my in laws while Eric finishes working on the truck (oh yes, plates have officially expired)
- Get as much Christmas shopping finished as possible.
What we actually accomplished during the weekend:
- Finally saw Breaking Dawn. I'm not sure Eric has forgiven me yet for dragging him to that movie :)
- Spent the whole day Saturday with my in laws. Which isn't a bad thing, we just didn't accomplish anything else on the weekend to do list.
- Took the nephews to see Santa. Somehow I ended up sitting on his lap as well... ?
- Eric worked on the truck but was only able to finish half the job. Mechanic, here we come! It's going to break Mr. Fix It's heart... as well as our wallet ;) (Eric's neverrrr taken his vehicle to a mechanic in his life. Not once.)
Our weekend was filled with smiles, tears, laughter, frustration, disappointment, gratitude, exhaustion, and love. I guess that's real life for ya. It comes at you whether you made plans for it... or not. Oh, and I didn't even take one picture. #fail

That is impressive that he hasn't taken his car to a mechanic before! What did you think of the movie? I wasn't a big fan, and am hoping Part 2 is better with less blood. haha.
Did you love Breaking Dawn? I did. I had dreams about it for a week haha.
Seeing Breaking Dawn makes the weekend complete...no matter what else you had on the list;)
I think it's a pass! :] Our weekends never go as planned but they still turn out wonderful!
Sounds busy AND fun! PASS! :)
How did Santa get you on his lap? LOL! Did you get a picture of that??
Sorry about the truck... Toby would feel the same way if he had to take his truck to get worked on. HE always does everything himself...even if it costs twice as much and takes twice as long as it would have at a mechanic. He loves doing it... lol
Seems fun. :D Facebook Twitter
LOVED breaking dawn! except for the awkward part where jacob talked to the other wolves when he left the pack. but lets not talk about that part. because, well, it was awkward. I thought the wedding and honeymoon scene were beautiful!
Glad you had a good weekend overall.

I am going to say fail ONLY because you didn't make it to the beloved Cafe Rio!! Other than that PASS :)
I would have liked to see a picture of you on Santa's lap :)
Sounds like a pass weekend to me Courtney! Your cream cheese dip was to die for btw! Thanks so much for sharing!

If you didn't make it to Cafe Rio it can't have been a success! ;) just kidding. It's totally a success because you convinced your husband to see Breaking Dawn with you!
Sounds like a lovely weekend even if not to plan :) But err...how'd you end up on santa's lap?!x
Too funny about the movie. I asked my husband to go to the movies and said I wanted to pick. So I said either Breaking Dawn or The Muppets. He chose the Muppets because he couldn't stand to sit in Breaking Dawn! :-) I'm going to try and see it this weekend!
Another weekend is just a few days away...hope you get more on your list crossed off. My list is slowly getting longer!!

haha that's so funny about dragging your husband to the movies. I didn't even have the energy to even "try" to get David to go but I still really want to see Breaking Dawn. Your blog is so cute & I can't wait to read more :)
Sounds kind of like my weekend! Lots of things on my list to do, not as much accomplished as I would have liked. And real life always seems to happen...
Ha ha love this post Court! And LOVE that you dragged Eric to Breaking Dawn, SO AWESOME!
Sorry it was such a crazy weekend of emotions. Sadly, just knowing you didn't go to Cafe Rio would mean fail for me...I guess family time is kind of nice...;-)
Hold the phone...free cafe rio?? How? And how can i get in on that? lol.
Haha love that you sat on Santas lap too..
Sometimes unplanned weekends have a way of working themselves out.. mine was also unplanned. I wasn;t feeling it either.. but it is what it is right? hehe
Hello, this is the first time you step on your blog and I really like.

Haha I love how you ended up on Santa's lap. So something that would happen to me :) xoxo
sounds like a nice weekend anyway regardless of plans changing! ;)
I say PASS- you got quality time with your hubby, spent time bonding with the fam and had some learning experiences! As long as there's love involved- it's never a fail!!! :) Xoxo

Wow, I can't believe he's never used a mechanic! That's amazing!!!
I finally saw Breaking Dawn last week as well! And my dad's an airline mechanic, and since that knowledge transfers to cars pretty easily, I've never taken my car to a mechanic either, so I can understand his frustration!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! :)
I feel like this always happens to me too. I've started to realize I just need to go with the flow and enjoy the chaos sometimes! Because after all, at least you enjoyed it together. : )
ps. I haven't heard of that series! I'm so looking into them! I need new reading material. Thanks lovey! Cannot WAIT until you get you package.
you saw THE movie...i think it's a pass! i have yet to see it!
