homemade Winger's freakin' amazing sauce!

The other day Eric and I had a talk.  We decided something has to change... We love donuts, ice cream, candy, stale peeps, we love all that crap!  But we've been slacking on the exercising!  Why is it soooo much easier to sit around watching TV and eating junk, than exercising?  Seriously!  Anyway, we decided we need to start exercising much MUCH more regularly or we'll have to donate all our treats to.....well, are there any takers out there?! ;)  The point is... we're getting up at 5am 2-3 mornings a week to go running and lift weights. kill.me.now. 5AM!!
And on that note... I'm sharing a yummy, easy, probably very unhealthy recipe today :)  Who loves Wingers?!  Personally, I love the sauce!!  I just don't love eating at the restaurant.  I had to work there during the last couple months of hair school and it was NOT my favorite job.  But I've found the solution!!  Some of our best friend's had us over for dinner one night and she whipped up the yummiest meal ever, we couldn't tell the difference between her chicken and Winger's chicken!  So I'm here to share the wealth!

Winger's freakin' amazing sauce:
1/3 c. Franks Hot Sauce (I found Frank's Hot Sauce at walmart)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
Heat up hot sauce, brown sugar and water in a sauce pot until all the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temp before adding to wings/chicken OR prepare ahead of time and refrigerate.
Full recipe found here.

Haha I have NO idea how to take a "good" picture of food :)
We threw in some sweet potato fries, mixed the sauce with ranch for some freakin' amazing creamy sauce, and asparagus.  Oooh!  Want to know my new FAVORITE way to make asparagus?  Go look here.  It's like candy.  YUM!
So there you have it!  The yummiest, easiest sauce ever.  And another reason why we need to be better about exercising :)  I am all about posting unhealthy recipes, but personally I'd love some healthy recipes.  If you have any yummy healthy recipes that you love, please share!!
p.s.  Thank you so much for being so sweet and understanding, friends!  I was so nervous to post about something I've been so insecure about, but I wanted it out there that everyone suffers in some form or another.  And that there IS good in every situation.  So thank you for being SO wonderful :)

I do NOT know how you do it! The eating healthy thing is hard enough, but exercising?! And at 5 A.M.?!?! There is just NO WAY. I'd love to share a recipe, but the healthiest I come is ants on a log and caramel apples... Good luck with the new changes, though!! :D

Buh. Exercising sucks. My lovah and I are in your same boat. We just started yesterday. I'm sure it'll be worth it, though.

I saw this recipe just yesterday as I was perusing a cooking blog. I definitely need to try it, now that it has your stamp of approval!

Mmm I am with you, the Wingers sauce is so good. I am going to have to try this! I love making their sticky chicken finger salad at home. Good luck with the 5 am workouts!! At least it will be out of the way and you will be motivated to eat healthy during the day! Hey is your hub cousins with Rachelle, Randy, and I can't remember her sister's name right now...

gurllll, let me tell you, I am the worst when it comes to exercising and the best at eating sweets. Unless you count taking care of an infant and running after unstable patients, I haven't worked out in 2 YEARS. I need to start though, bc once I get there it last for a while... like three months. Than I take another 2 yr break. Haha

That sauce looks pretty freaking amazing! I'm trying it. Fo sho

We don't have a wingers here, so I don't know what I'm missing out on.

However, like you, I am SO much better at eating junk food and sitting around than I am at going to work out. Ooops. You can send your junk food to me!!
