when in Vegas...

I got to have one last "hurrah" with my salon girls over the weekend... in VEGAS! We seriously had the best time! Besides the small breaks of shoving food in our faces, there was non stop talking and laughing... gosh, I love these girls! Our trip was short and sweet, but we made sure to pack in all the fun we could!
The first thing we did when we arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday was hit the mall, of course! I was hoping to find some clothes to help me survive the Arizona heat, but had no luck as the stores are still carrying mostly winter stuff. Which is totally fine because then I kind of turned our shopping trip into selfie central, ha ha! These girls aren't into social media as much as I am... so they totally had to put up with my picture obsession :)
After shopping we checked into our room, got ready for dinner, then headed to Margaritaville. We usually eat at Maggianos but we couldn't get a reservation until way late, but Margaritaville ended up being SO fun! I started the night right by dumping my very full glass of ice water all over my lap (it was like slow motion as the icy water hit me and all I could do was sit there and yell, "on me! ON ME!" ha ha!) Thank heavens for my sequin pants that seem to be totally water repellent but my shoes? Not so much, ha ha! The food was delish and just as we were finishing up, the cutest nerdy man on stilts came to our table and told me he heard it was my birthday (a night early, but I am all about celebrating anytime!) He made me the coolest balloon crown (best balloon tying I've ever seen!) that didn't seem as big as it actually is when I was staring at him making it all the way up on those stilts, ha!
After dinner we made our way to Treasure Island to go watch Mystere! I screamed, jumped, clapped and squealed like a little girl when they told me we were going! I've always wanted to see a Cirque Du Soleil show and it did not disappoint! I am already itching to go back with Eric and see another show! It really was incredible!
We headed back to our rooms after the show because we are old and lame and were totally exhausted :) I got up early and came home with half the girls to get Mia, then spent a low key Sunday feeling all the birthday love! Not a bad way to ring in 27 ;) Vegas was amazing! Coming home to Mia was even better! The only thing I needed to make it a perfect birthday was to have Eric with me as well :) What a weekend!

GAH, VEGAS so fun!!! I'm thrilled you had a blast on this trip, what a wonderful last hurrah! Maragritaville is lots of fun and pretty chill which is nice, too! I'm glad your pants helped you out in the water spill department and your hat is so cute!!!! Cirque is amazing, right?

No shame in being old and hitting the sack early, I do it on every Vegas trip. You need to get some rest or you come back sick....been there, done that ;)! I bet Mia missed you something fierce, too!

<3 you lady!

I think I'm one of the only people who has never been to Vegas, but it looks like a blast! I would love to see a Cirque Du Soleil show. It's so amazing what those people can do. People who can make those balloon crowns amaze me too!

Sounds like it was alot of fun. I've never been to Vegas. I definitely wanna go!!

P.S. It's nice to know I'm not the only one people have to put up with when it comes to picture taking. I take way too many....but I just love it. One day my husband will just accept it. lol

Oh my goodness, how FUN!!!! I'm so happy you had the opportunity to go to Vegas for a night with you friends for an early celebration! I saw that Cirque du Soliel show in Vegas and it was AMAZING! Since I am old and un-fun now, I just want to go to Vegas for the AMAZING food and AMAZING shows! Of course that would probably cost me a fortune, but at least I would get something out of it instead of wasting money on drinks and gambling :) Seth and I might need to book a trip soon!
So glad you had such a great birthday! xo

Ok, seriously jealous you were in VEGAS this weekend! What?!? Awesome! And check you out rocking those sequin pants! Love it! They really do help "repel" water, which is nice. Glad you got one last hurrah with the girls and it sounds like it was a great one! Oh and we have a Margaritaville here too... you should come check this one out sometime! :)
