Spring bucket list

I know Spring is on every one's mind right now, including mine, so I had to come up with a fun little bucket list for us now that we are more settled in Arizona! But if you ask me, it's like we skipped spring and went straight for summer with this 90 degree weather! The scary thing is that it's gonna get a whole lot hotter in the next couple of months, yikes!

1- Go on a hike! I've been itching to get out and explore but I'm really nervous to try new things (like finding a hike in the middle of nowhere? no thanks!) on my own. So I guess I need to trick Eric into going on a hike with us, or find some friends who are up for some hiking!

2- Sign Mia up for swim lessons. I have no doubt that the pool will be a part of our daily routine (it practically is already!) this spring/summer so it's time for the girl to learn some basics when it comes to water safety and swimming!

3- Celebrate Easter in a fun AND meaningful way! We are sad to be far away from family for this holiday but I'm determined to make it special for our little family!

4- Make homemade Popsicle's.

5- Invite friends over for a meal/dessert/play date, etc!

6- Get in a date to the Temple with Eric!

7- Draw chalk with Mia once a week. She loves it so much and we really need to take advantage before it gets too hot!

8- Find something fun that Arizona offers exclusively during the spring (like an art festival, carnival, etc) and go make some fun memories with Eric and Mia!

What's on your bucket list?! I'm always looking for new ideas to add to our list! Happy almost official Spring, my friends!

These all look like awesome ideas, lady! I remember making Popsicles when I was younger and how much fun we had doing it and eating them.

Great job signing up Mia for lessons. Too many people are scared of the water because they weren't taught safety and swimming young. So important for the child and for your state of mind. Who knows, you might have a future Amanda Beard on your hands :)!

I love these seasonal bucket lists! It's so smart to get Mia into swimming lessons. She doesn't need to be a great swimmer, but obviously it's important for her to learn some safety stuff. I can't even imagine the heat there. I get hot enough in the summer in Ohio/Indiana, so I think Arizona would be too much for me. You should definitely find some new trails or hikes around you! I miss your posts about the gorgeous hikes you used to take! My sister absolutely loves the hiking in Arizona, so I know you will, too!

We really need some spring to come our way! We got a taste of it this past weekend now Lia wants to be outside ALL.OF.THE.TIME- but its only 42 degrees today:(
It sounds like Mia is going to have so much fun this spring!! Swim lessons and homemade Popsicle's are the BEST !!!
We love blowing bubbles - flying kites - outside picnic lunches( in our yard) and homemade (lemonade) Popsicles'
Happy SPRING

I think your bucket list sounds perfect!! I whole heartedly support the swim lessons--I'm not a strong swimmer at all, and I really wish that I was. I know HOW to swim, but I just kinda panic. It's not a fun place to be, so I think the earlier, the better!! :)

Love it, great list! I especially love the homemade popsicles and the swimming lessons. Chris and I are usually on our own for Easter and we usually just go to brunch. Or try to do something fun. I hope that you are having a good day so far today too! :-)

Love all your pool pics! We have our warm days here in SC, but the rest of the week is supposed to be in the 50s/60s.

I'm curious... when you say a date to Temple, is that just like going to church together? (Forgive my ignorance!!!!)

I'm with you on the hiking- we love to explore, but we do it together. One, because I have no sense of direction and could easily get myself lost. Two, because there's creatures in the wild that I don't want to come across by myself- like snakes! -Dorrie @ Bear Den Plantation

I'm just hoping spring shows up here soon, it's still so freaking cold it's hard to think of things to do when the weather still sucks

You should get a library card. I believe the libraries have fun kid activities year round. And it is the best place to be when it is soooo hot outside. haha

This is such a great list! We love hikes during the spring, too! Some other things on our list are spending a few days on a lake and going to a baseball game. :)

I love your list! I think I'm going to have to make my own now this week soon, hope you don't mind! ;) Our Easter plans seem to change every year as our family is all spread out, but I look forward to whatever it ends up being each year. It's my favorite holiday :)

I just live two hours from phx but during the summer we always stay at resorts in phx or Scottsdale and it is so fun and they have great deal on the prices too during that time.....:O)

I LOVE bucket lists.... I really should make one too. Last year I did a summer, fall and christmas list and we had so much fun marking things off our list.

Lots of fun stuff on yours. So glad winter is over!

Ohhh I def want to look into swim lessons for Lyla too! For my Spring bucket list I want to go to a local farm and pick some fruit or veggies that are in season for Spring here in Jersey!

Yes! Spring is definitely on my mind! I am so ready for it that it’s ridiculous! Texas has been so cold and gloomy and wet lately! I’m over it. I made a bucketlist as well. It will post tomorrow! I can’t believe you guys are already in the 90s! Texas usually does that too, though. We have a really short Spring around here. Great list you have there!

Great list!! Arizona has so many places to hike too - you are lucky! If you haven't been I definitely recommend the Sedona area. My aunt lives there and it's so pretty!

Awesome list! I can't wait to see Mia become the cutest little fish! I mean, she already LOVES the water.... so it will only get cuter!!

Love the chalk one, so simple and yet she loves it! Always good to make those a priority.

That's a great list of things to work on this Spring. I'm sure with a little arm pulling, you'll be able to get Eric to go on a hike with you & the lil lady. :)

There's a ton of great hiking in Arizona- like South Mountain and Camelback- which are all REALLY well marked and usually pretty busy with other hikers so it's not scary going by yourself or with another girlfriend.
Also, there a few REALLY fun festivals coming up soon- I think the Tempe Arts Festival is sometime in Spring and one of our favorites is the Salsa Festival at Tempe Town Lake. You literally get to walk around the park and try TONS of salsa (from restaurants to jars to old family recipes) and vote on your favorites. It is SO delicious and a LOT of fun!! :)
