Rainy road trip and jamming out to N'SYNC... could there be anything better? Eric sure thought so. But I was in heaven :)
... that my heart broke a little bit last night when I saw everyone post on Instagram and Facebook about N'SYNC performing together. Why did I have to miss it?? Eric only discovered the fact that N'SYNC will always have a small piece of my heart last year, ha ha! And yeah, that fact kinda freaks him out. Anyway! I will be youtubing all day watching their performance and I can't wait!... that it was cool and rainy all weekend and I kind of loved it! It has me craving fall goodies, the decor, the anticipation and excitement of the upcoming holidays and the beauty of the leaves changing. But I also confess that I'm not looking forward to winter that always follows too closely after fall! The dreary, snowy weather seems to drag on forever while summer always seems to fly by!
... that I'm super nervous to have more babies. My first reason is that Mia is such an angel baby. We totally got it right the first time ;) ha! We really are lucky, most babies aren't this easy going! Our next one is bound to be... not such an angel baby! But the second reason? I am terrified of the first 2-4 weeks after bringing the baby home from the hospital. Those dang hormones are nuts! I cried and beat myself up over every. little. thing. I don't like being in that place in my head, and I don't want to go back to that! Maybe it won't be that way with our second because I kind of know what to expect now? Either way... I'm scared.
.... that we aren't having another baby for awhile :) Like, a long while!
... that I am so disappointed in the movie world. Who the crap is in charge of casting characters? Let's start with Edward from Twilight. Robert Pattinson is so NOT cute! And his teeth... they aren't even straight! The boy can afford a set of braces and teeth whitening kit. If you're going to play a vampire, shouldn't you work on having a perfect set of teeth? Ugh. And now let's talk about Jace in City of Bones. Jamie Campbell Bower? So NOT what I pictured :( I don't know if he needs a good head washing, or a good head shaving? But his look just isn't working for me and I don't even want to see the movie right now because of it. Call me a snob, or maybe just hire me as the new casting... person. Okay?
... that Thursday just became my favorite day of the week! DATE NIGHT!! Eric and I had a long talk over the weekend that we really need to put forth more effort to really court each other again. Yes, we have been on a lot of adventures this summer, but those adventures are the only time we have spent time together! Between work and life being so crazy, we haven't spent good quality time together. So Thursday is our designated date night! Whether it's the 3 of us, or we get a babysitter (we've only been on 2 days without Mia in the past 8 months, yikes!)... it's our special night of the week and I'm SO looking forward to it!
... that I'm incredibly indecisive at times, and I'm not very good at picking outfits. What am I talking about?? Mia's 9 month pictures. I already know what she'll be wearing, but what am I going to wear? And what is Eric going to wear?! Ah! It's still a month away but you better believe I will be stressing about this until the day after pictures! I wish I could have a personal stylist! It would make my days so much easier not having to worry about picking out what to wear, ha!
... that I was super nervous to post this last week. But I have been blown away by all of your awesome comments (which I will be replying to via email this week)! Yay for no hateful comments and being de-friended! Blog land is such a beautiful place, but it can turn ugly with just one nasty comment. So thank you for being supportive of my opinion. And thank you for being nice about it to those that don't agree with what I said :) That's the way this world should be! If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!
... that I am super jealous of the giveaway I have going up tomorrow! You all better enter because I definitely wish I could! So, see you tomorrow ;)

Courtney I am totally withn you on wanting autumn to arrive soon...I am so ready for fall!
It is better the second time. My second is 5 days old and I am so much more relaxed. I feel like I am going to enjoy his newborn stage rather than being a basket case 24/7.
i'm so done with beaches this year. wish there will be fall for me, but in Bali, everyday is summer here. though i can't complaint much. hha.
I'm ready for fall, too! It's my favorite time of year, and this year I get to share it with my new baby! :) I can't wait!
I went to the store and got my fall candles in anticipation for that awesome season!
I'm frightened about having more kids too.
I had no idea the awards were on MTV last night - until this morning when everyone was talking about NSYNC and Miley.
Oh, and I LOVE random things ;)
Olivia was a lot like Mia, just so chill and easy. I knew I had it too good. My second has been a little hell raiser. But at the same time I love him so so so so much. I can appreciate his babyhood because I know A) even the bad wont last forever and B) He'll grow up quick enough, I don't need to push him.
Probably good I got pregnant on accident because I don't know if I would have had the guts to try!
My brother and SIL had a baby together (she has one from a different relationship) and this baby was just like Mia and she's in the same boat, she's afraid that another kiddo wouldn't be as easy going. I'm worried about it all togetehr!
Thanks for commenting on Pink on the Cheek! I had so much fun at DryBar! So sad that you missed Nsync last night, but I did too technically! I don't have cable (only Netflix and Hulu) so I watched the performance online! Oh JT has had my heart for many years now, I couldn't miss it!!
Yayy for a designated date night!!
I love fall! I am so excited for the leaves to start turning and for the brisk air, but you are right, it is too closely followed by a loooong winter. Also, I love that you and your hunny have set aside one day a week for a date night. You are so right, it's so important to continue daring your hunny after the baby, but for some reason it is hard to do. We have only been on two dates without baby since he was born (seven months ago!).
I don't think Robert Pattinson is cute either!
Each one of your babies will be different but I'm sure your next will be just as perfect in it's own special way! XOXO
yay for date night! they are so important!
And I didn't get to comment on your b-feeding post, but it was so great & spot-on!
However, anyone feeds their baby is their business...but I always felt a need to be modest if and only if, I had to feed Elyse in public!
I love designated date night! Such a great idea :) And now I really want to listen to that NSync cd... wonder if I can dig it up out of my old stuff :)
okayyyyy...
1. i WILL blast (and sing along) nsync with you anytime.
2. this rainy weather is getting me in the mood for fall... lets make some fun fall decorations soon, yea??
3. so now that mia and chandler are besties... my next baby needs a bestie too?!?! come onnnnnn ;)
and 4. can thursday nights be a double date night sometimes?!?? :)
okay, i'm done with this super long comment :)
I don't mind rainy weekends as long as I can stay home. I'm so ridiculously indecisive when it comes to wardrobe that sometimes I can't even decide on a pair of undies to put on. Never stop dating! I think it's awesome that you will have date night.
you will looooove nsyncs performance, just steer clear of miley's little show.
Nsync's performance is amazing...but too short. I love that you two are doing date nights. I want to make more of an effort to court again when my husband comes home. We need it.
My husband and I totally rocked out to NSYNC on our road trip last month! :) We're not doing so good on the dating thing either... my baby is 11 months old and we've had two dates without her!

Don't worry, you didn't miss much with NSYNC. They seriously performed for like 30 seconds. SO disappointing! Glad I'm not the only NSYNC fan out there. :)
Loved reading this! I too am slightly terrified about the idea of having a newborn again. I really struggled with those days. I'm hoping since i've done it once that I can be more relaxed, but you are right...those hormones are crazy and unpredictable!
So you'll probably think I'm crazy or that it is disgusting (really, it is pretty gross) and i cant remember if I mentioned it here before, but I am 100% doing placenta encapsulation. The benefits are great and if it ends up being all in my head and it works, i dont care! I've suffered from depression all my life and just KNOW I'll be a hormonal mess after the baby comes so to me this is 100% worth it. I have had friends do it and they each said they had tons of energy (one has twins!), never had the blues and had tonnnnns of milk for breastfeeding, esp the mom with twins! You just have to ask the doctor to keep your plascenta (mine is fine with it), keep it on ice, have somebody take it to your house and freeze and then a midwife comes over and cleans it, cooks it, dehydrates it etc and puts it in pills. I am so for it!
and on another note, my mom said her marriage to my dad (that was doomed from the beginning!) would have been a lot stronger if they would have done date nights more often without me. She said they needed the time alone to just be adults and not google and gaggle on all things baby/kid. That has always stuck out to me so I make sure my husband and I go out at least once a week. You will love going out more often too :)
hahaha, i'm the same way with picking out outfits for piper's day. i've been meaning to tell you, i LOVE all of mia's hair accessories. my brother laughs and makes fun that piper is almost always wearing a headband...but i feel like it's only when she's dressed...she loves being in just her diaper. she and mia could be hair accessory pals. :)
ahh, i remember that n'sync cd. i went to their concert when i was 15 and thought i was so cool!
sending love and wishing you a wonderful night! xoxo

Fall in Utah and Colorado is always way too short! When I lived in Indiana, I was so blown away by how long fall lasts there.
It is ALWAYS acceptable to jam out to *NSYNC for hours on end on road trips. And to have regular date nights. Such good things!
I have to confess that I am terrified of all the hormones and craziness I have heard about after we deliver our baby girl in January...I am already an emotional person to begin with, I pray that it goes smooth. Any tips you can give me to cope when that time comes?

I missed the performance too but my wonderful hubby remembered to set the DVR to record so now I just have to find the time to watch it. He gives me a hard time but NSync will always be a special part of my childhood. A few weekends ago one of my good friends and I went on a road trip to visit my family and we rocked out to them the whole way. It was great!
PS I'm a new follower - found you via your button on Life with Amberly & Joe. Can't wait to read more about your adorable family :-)
I tuned into the VMAs just for their performance. I might have screamed like a 12 year old fan girl. It was awesome!

i admit it. i LOVE hearing from you!
