We usually go to Eric's hometown each year for the 4th, because small towns really know how to throw a party for America :) While we missed being with our family this year, I really can't complain because we celebrated the best way ever! We spent the day at Huntington beach which was heavenly. The sun was out, the temperature was perfect, and the water was ice cold ha ha! I've heard so much about BJ's and we finally got to try it for lunch. Wow, it did NOT disappoint! It's probably a good thing it's not in Utah or I'd be eating their pizookies every. single. day. And we all know that would NOT be a good thing for my behind ;)

We ended the day enjoying America's favorite pastime! Angels vs Cardinals and the Angels won! The game was short and sweet (just how I like it, but it was a bummer for the boys! Did I mention we spent the day with our friends, Ashley, Austin and Chandler? Yeah, and we didn't even get a picture together!) but the firework show was spectacular! It was definitely a good day to celebrate this great country and our freedom!

So fun! We didn't do a single patriotic thing for the 4th! Aside from grilling hamburgers and eating strawberries & blueberries with whipped cream (red, white, and blue!) But we did work on the nursery, which is also important! :)
