34 weeks

picture taken at 34 weeks 2 days

- I just figured out this week what a braxton hick feels like and realized I have those all the time! And I've been experiencing them for the past month! And yes... I felt like an idiot that I never realized those were braxton hicks :)

- It's official... I can't reach my toes to paint them. Eric's gonna have to buy me a pedicure or paint those nails himself!

- Baby girl started stretching this past week. And I mean really stretching.... I'm worried she's going to bust a rib or 2 if she keeps that up.

- According to my baby app, baby girl has reached her full height/length! She won't be growing any longer while she's inside my body. It's all about the fat now :)

- I think I have permanent kankles. Seriously.... does the swelling go away after the baby comes? PLEASE tell me it does! My legs kind of make me want to barf.... (I know that's vain... but I still care even though I'm pregnant!)

- Baby girl and I are starting to feel very cramped!! These next 6 weeks (actually, closer to 5 weeks by the time I post this) are going to be very interesting.... ha ha!

- I really want to get a few freezer meals prepared to have on hand while I'm recovering (or just too lazy to cook) from having our baby. I've looked for recipes on pinterest but I'm wanting to make meals that I know people have actually tried and loved. So if you've made any freezer meals that you totally loved PLEASE share the recipe or a link :) Thank you!!

Almost there momma!!
Yes the swelling does go down but not immediately takes a week or so!
I never knew I was having BH contractions either until they hooked me up to a monitor:)
Goodluck so soon!!

Yes, the swelling does go down. Mine went away pretty quickly. I didn't know I was having BH either. I went to the hospital for sciatic pain and they told me I was having contractions. I told them, I thought that was the baby pushing her knees or something into me! LOL. They made me have an IV to stop them, so make sure you drink LOTS of water to try to stop them from happening too much. I had Emma at 37-38 weeks. I thought I would go longer than full term since she was my first.

hopefully you are getting everything done! ryder was born at 36 weeks! once you hit that point, it can be any day! :)

I need to go look up BH too, because I'm not sure I've had any? I just have a lot of pressure in my pelvis and we now know that's b/c Miss Priss has turned head down.
You look great! I look like a beached whale next to you!! LOL!!

I made a handful of freezer crockpot meals before my son was born, best idea ever!!!
My favorite is crockpot sausage & peppers. This recepie makes 2 freezer meals!
•package of sausage ( I use Eckrich it comes in a 2 pack)
•2 green peppers
•1 red pepper
•4 cloves garlic, minced
•2 cans diced tomatoes
•little bit of olive oil
•1 tablespoon dry Italian seasoning

Just split everything into 2 gallon size freezer bags. Cook them on low for 8 hours. It's great with mash potatoes!!!

I didn't know what a braxton hick was either until I had one in my doctors office and asked about it (I just thought it was the baby sticking it's butt out or something) and was told that's what it was. Turned out I also had been having them for a while.

Courtney you look amazing mama! I hear you on the cankles. I wore socks and boots yesterday all day at work and when I came home and took them off, I had permanent indents in my calves from the socks. They stayed like that for hours! I am so praying the swelling goes away fast after delivery.

Your bump is too cute!! And that shirt is adorable also.

I'm the same way with all new meals I make. I can pin and print off recipes left and right but I never seem to try something new on my own. Unless someone I know has tried it and loved it I don't usually make it.

You have got to be the cutest preggo ever! I've heard compression socks help a lottttt with the swelling. I bought some and I'm not even pregnant just because I'm on my feet a lot. Hang in there for 5 more Weeks while baby girl grows her chub!

You look adorable! Love that shirt! The swelling does go away after you have had a baby. If you are vain for caring then I definitely am because I care A LOT about what I look like and how fat I get when I am pregnant! :) Love you!

The freezer meal idea is a really good idea!! I wish I had done that! And trust me, you won't be cooking because you're too lazy, it's definitely b/c you'll be recovering and sleep-deprived and adjusting! It took a while before I started cooking again! (I hope that doesn't totally freak you out - maybe you'll adjust a lot quicker than me!!) So excited for you!!

Cutest pregnant lady ever!!! And I will need to find some of those freezer meals in a few months, too, so if you end up finding any that you love, please share :)

yay!! 34 weeks! i don't know what braxton hicks feel like, STILL. i'm hoping to figure it out this time around. haha.

your legs will totally go back to the way they were. its just extra water and blood flow that causing the swelling. you'll be back to feeling like yourself in no time. :)

i don't have an actual recipe but we have been giving meals that have chicken, alfredo sauce and noodles, and they tasted so good. so things with that in them. :) sorry couldn't help more.

My feet were swollen so HUGE when I was preggo. I didn't even have an ankle bone! It took two weeks for them to go back down after I had my babies!

I only made one meal to freeze (since I was on bedrest the last 2 months of pregnancy) and it was taco soup, which is EASY and delicious, but I think all the beans affected my poor little nursing baby! Haha, so I wouldn't recommend that. In a few days I will be going to a relief society activity where we are making a ton of freezer meals, there is a lady in my ward that does like all her meals that way, so she should be pro! I can send you the recipes sometime soon!

As for swelling, I'm pretty sure that does go away afterwards. I actually didn't swell when I was pregnant (at least, not noticeable) but for a few days after I gave birth I did! Weird, huh!

You're getting so close! I asked my hubby to paint my toes during those last weeks of my first pregnancy. I made the mistake of telling him that the paint comes off skin in the shower. He gobbed on the polish! I will never ask him to paint my nails again. Haha

I'm so jealous of your Braxton Hicks! I never had any contractions at all.

You look amazing! That is SO your color! I need freezer meals, too! Great idea.

PS: Did you ever go look at those shops for bows/headbands that somebody recommended in your comments a few posts back?? I did...and they are amazing!! I bought so much!!

I promise the swelling goes down. I thought I was dying after Zoe was born because my feet were SO THIN. Yeah Gregg pointed out that they just weren't swollen anymore.

Also my face has thinned back down , so yes , the swelling goes away. I will also look up those recipes and send them your way. Star procrastinator right here.
