Mia's headband c/o Sweet Angel Kreations
In Mia's first year of life I had pictures taken every 3 months to show how much she grew in those short time spans. Blame it on the fact that I'm just plain obsessed with my little family and having pictures galore! I also think I was playing catch up because Eric and I never had professional pictures taken between our wedding and Mia's newborn photos... almost 5 years of heaven for Eric ;) I couldn't help but torture him a little with all those photo shoots, ha ha! Anyway, I was missing the photos so much that I had to schedule an 18 month shoot instead of waiting until Mia turned 2... what a nightmare! These gorgeous photos didn't come with out some serious blood, sweat and tears... literally! Eric ended up working an insane amount of hours just before photos so you know, my picture hating husband was in an even more picture hating mood at the shoot, so fun! I should have known better but Mia didn't want to hold still for one second, let alone smile for the camera and she she was pretty ticked at me for trying to force it, ah! At one point, Mia was having so much fun running across that wooden bridge that she got ahead of herself, tripped over her feet and scraped the side of her face... my momma heart broke in a million pieces, but you better believe I still made us press on with the dang photo shoot (ha!) Oh and did I mention it was over 90 degrees, that's where the sweat comes in. Our poor photographer!!
I love these photos and I'm so grateful to have them, but I've learned that Mia is to the point where I only want to experience this stress once a year, ha ha! Just keepin' it real, yo! But I do love my beautiful little family!

Your funny! I don't think it was near as bad as you made it out to be. We accomplished the goal by getting some sweet photos of your darling Mia. I love taking photos of your family regardless of sweat or tears😉
Ha! You basically just described the exact experience we had for Kiernan's one year photos... Little stinkers!! But the photos are darling :)
You sure can't tell that there were any problems by looking at these pretty pictures! Love the first one! :)
Well despite the drama the finished product is gorgeous!
Joe and I had pictures taken at our 3 year and 5 year anniversary. I love having those pictures. (:
As a photographer, I've learned that 1-3 years portraits are more photo-journalistic they just don't want to sit. That's normal. ;) Until they are about 4, they they have a 2min window to sit. lol
Girlfriend I am so with you!!! Pictures with a toddler are no joke! I was the same way with pictures every 3 months but now? Um.. Not so much. On the bright side they are fabulous. Mia looks precious.. So crazy to me how much she looks like her daddy!;)
We have yet to do professional pictures b/c Brad is cheap! You're lucky!
Shelby is a bear to get a good picture of these days too.
So adorable, despite all the trouble you went through! Love your dress too :)
haha love the pictures!!! Lately Evelynne's pictures have been totally of just life because I can't seem to get her to pose lol.. I'm looking forward to the day when I can bribe her with candy haha
Haha, you would have never known! I would have liked to see the behind the scenes! They turned out gorgeous though and I love baby girl's outfit!
Cute pics!
HA! You would never know...these pictures are so great! Good job mama...gotta make those memories. :)
Well your photographer did an awesome job getting some good pics even though there were some struggles along the way. These pictures are fun and so cute!! Mia sure does love that camera! :)
The last pic is my favorite, but they all turned out really cute!
amazing photographer, you would never know how hard it was to get those photos! Not looking forward to our yearly photo shoot in November. I'm sure with a almost 4 year old and a just turned 1 year old, both are not going to be looking at the camera...haha! They look great! But agreed, once a year is enough!
First of all, I LOVE your dress! Very cute! Secondly, Mia is adorable, as always! :)
....and this is why I haven't scheduled any photos for Aislynn or my picture hating husband haha. But I did get a really good laugh out of reading your experience!!
Yes, one and two year olds are usually the hardest to get wall worthy family pictures with! But you guys still managed to look great and happy anyway.
It's so funny when they start developing their own strong little personalities and they have a mind of their own as to what they will and won't do! She looks beautiful in all of these photos, it's a lovely way of being able to document Mia getting bigger! X

They look incredible though!!!
You would have never guessed it... love them all!! you should share some of the out takes;)
Im so jealous of all the beautiful family shots you have! Totally worth it. But, poor Mia taking a spill. I think Aria is as clumsy as me, poor kid. And I love your dress! You got some great shots even if it was a lot of work.
Where'd you get your dress?! Ps. I love that you're real with your readers. You see all these beautiful family photos and people think man their family is perfect, but in all honesty we never know what was happening during the pictures.
You would never know, just beautiful!!!
Had you not said anything, I would have never known! These photos are so special!
i literally just posted something so similar! haha we tried to take some family pictures after brooks' one year photo shoot and it was a HOT MESS!! most of them he is screaming or crying.. we managed to get a few good ones though! and it looks like you did too:) would've have never known it was a nightmare by looking at these pictures.

...and this is the EXACT reason we haven't had any "official" family pictures done since before Broox turned two! (picture embarrassed face here)But I SO wish we would have - even with the terrible parts, it's still worth it to have the pictures! And they really did turn out soooo cute! Also, I LOVE your dress! So dang cute!
ahhaha I hate that the pictures didnt go how you wanted! But hey, at least they are beautiful! :)
Love Always,
Elizabeth
