Loving: all things spring! Especially when they are Mia-sized :) I admit that I haven't held back when it comes to the adorable clothes that are popping up in stores. I spent $22 on a spring dress for Mia from Target for crying out loud! Stupid, stupid, stupid. But it's so perfect I could die (just picture the cute little girl from Despicable Me saying that, okay?) :) And the weather? Perfection! I'm ready to spend our days outside again now that Mia is finally on the mend!

Reading/Watching: I had to add "watching" to this because let's face it, I'm not reading much with a crazy toddler running lose. And yes, it hurts to type toddler because hello? She's still my baby! ANYWAY! I've been catching up on The Bachelor on hulu. I really don't know why everyone is hating on Juan Pablo? I just finished the Women Tell All so I know the ending is a real kicker that I need to get caught up on buuuuuuut, I still don't get it? Why is everyone surprised by his loving the ladies and not really settling? This season hasn't been shocking to me at all. I mean, if you give a dog a bone, or 25.....

Trying to: learn the best way/time to get a good deal on plane tickets. I'm only a little embarrassed to say that I've never booked a plane ticket before. The one airplane Eric and I have been on together was one that a travel agent booked for us. Our Boston trip is still months out but I don't know if I should have bought our tickets already? They prices seem high, but maybe they will only go higher? Oh man, I have a lot to learn. I'd love some advice!!

Wishing: that I could whip up some dang good guac! I crave fresh guacamole on the daily during the warm months but I suck at making it! I've only ever made one successful batch and it seriously kills me that I'm not good at it! I could live on chips, salsa and guac.... except that I suck at making it! I need to take a class specifically for this, ha ha!

Excited for: a fun giveaway I have in the works for you, my favorite blog friends :)

Haha I agree, not much to hate about Juan Pablo, but I also think there's not much to love. After you watch the final episodes, you should read what I wrote about it the other day and tell me what you thought, too :)

Plane tickets, I always go to Expedia first and check out the flight prices there, then after that I check Southwest and some other airlines that aren't covered in Expedia. Usually if you buy your tickets on Tuesday they are the cheapest, never buy on the weekend. There are sites out there that tell you when the good deals are, but I always get impatient waiting and just look every few days. If you see a good price, jump on it! Mostly I think the prices are really good 30-60 days out from the flight. More towards the 60 day, is when I try to book. Fresh quac, it's so easy how do you mess it up?! Here's my recipe:

3 ripe avacados (cut in half, score and scoop out into bowl)
1/2 red onion
1/2 lime
bunch of cilantro
1-2 Serrano chilies

Add everything in bowl, stir. If you want, when you scope out the avacados and you need to mash them up, use a potato masher like this one http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/oxo-good-grips-reg-smooth-potato-masher/1011586082.

Add a little salt and more cilantro to taste. Let chill for at least an hour for best results.

Good luck!

I read that the best time to book is 54 (maybe 59?) days before departure. I also use www.itasoftware.com to find the best fares out there. It's not a booking agent, but it will show you the fare codes and everything on the cheapest fares and what days are the cheapest with a particular month. It's genius!

Oh the Bachelor. I didn't really see what all the fuss was about until the last episode and after the final rose. He's such a dog.

I barely ever buy clothes for me anymore now that we have Emily. Her clothes are just SO CUTE! I want to buy everything!!!! It's hard for me to go to the store and stay out of the baby clothes section.

I actually saw an interview Barbara Walters did yesterday with an expert on airlines. He said the best way to get cheap tickets is to actually call the airline. Apparently they only advertise 33% of their tickets online and they're usually the most costly. He also said although it's inconvenient the best time to book a flight (WHILE CALLING) is at 12:01am Wednesday morning. He said on average you can save 200-300 dollars a ticket!!!

I love guac and chips. I think I could live off of them. For real. It has taken years to try and find the perfect recipe for guac and I'm still working on making it better. But, I would be more than happy to share mine with you if you like :)

For me, I always go to expedia and Travelocity and see who has it cheaper!

I know I'll need a second job if/when I ever have a little girl. Their clothes are just TOO STINKIN' CUTE!! I told Jared I should just start buying stuff now so I don't spend as much all at once ;)

I almost dropped like $100 on the spring gymboree line before I stopped myself! Why is this spring so cute?!

My mom makes the easiest and most simple guac, I've never had anything better! 1 avacado, a scoop or two of sour cream and a shake of garlic salt to taste. Cannot go wrong. Its amazing!

The bachelor oh how I hate that man!
He is just terrible in too many ways to write them all down.. He needs to go to a nice school that teaches him to have manners & not be a douche to every girl he sees!

But she'll look so darn adorable in the dress, mama!

I've hated JP since the first episode... Playa gonna play. But he really just proves it in the after the final rose thing. Poor chris Harrison!! I can't make guac either-- thank goodness my husband excels in that department!

Where are you flying? Go to Southwest.com and sign up for their deal newsletters, they come out on Tuesdays and those are usually the best days to purchase tickets. They are also cheaper if you stay over a Saturday night. Let me know if you need any more tips, I love planning travel (yet I still need to plan our summer trip, yikes!)

I went to Carter's for plain white onesies and. . . it was hard walking out. The cuteness of baby girls stuff was overwhelming!!! And I don't even have a baby girl to dress (but I could fit my three-year-old into 24 month, right????)

Try Kayak.com or Expedia.com Those are the sites I use for most of our travels. On Kayak you can create an alert so you get an email if someone else on the site finds a good deal on dates/destinations similar to yours.

I have a hard time not buying cute spring outfits for the baby I don't even have. I've been trying to stop myself from spending a small fortune on clothes for my nieces and nephew.
