reminiscing
Loving: that Trevor and Alycia (my brother and sista) taught us how to make homemade pazookies! These are so freakin' delish and now I don't have to pay a ridiculous amount (why do desserts cost so much at restaurants?!) to go out and get one! You better believe my freezer is stalked with ice cream and cookie dough so that when I'm having a craving? I'll be set :) ha ha!

Reading: I was just having a conversation with my client yesterday about reading books. I've put reading on hold because when I'm reading? Everything else is put on hold. I just get so sucked in that I can't accomplish anything until the book is finished! And then there's always a sequel... ha! But I am reading blogs when I can an I'm about to read a tutorial to make some decor for Mia's party.

Trying to: wrap my head around the fact that my baby turns 1 next week! This truly has been the fastest year of my life and it's not even fair! I have loved every minute with my baby girl (except maybe those minutes of nursing the first couple weeks... just keepin' it real! But that's not Mia's fault)!

Wishing: and hoping, and praying that I don't go through seasonal depression once the holidays pass. Mia is the best reason to be excited to wake up in the mornings! But I am not a winter girl. I need my sunshine. I am not accustomed to the snow (and driving in it) even though I've lived in this climate for four (this is my fourth) years. So maybe what I'm saying is that I wish we had a family vacation planned to Hawaii from January to.... May! Ha ha!

Excited for: Christmas, duh! Eric had to work on Christmas Eve AND Christmas last year (12 hour shifts) and I was completely and totally out of it with a newborn. This year I'm back to my old self (Eric will argue that during my ornery moments, ha!) and Eric won't be working (or I may turn into a crazy person, again) and Mia will love the presents, the food, the family, etc! It's going to be SO fun!

And currently YOU should be entering the giveaway below! This is a good one guys, one you should not be missing out on!

Ooh girl I'm with you on the seasonal depression. Last year Axel was born in January so I don't really remember anything until maybe. . . April? But this year I'm worried that being stuck in the house with no Christmas music is going to make me nuts!!

What a sweet picture! Isn't it crazy how much faster time goes once you have kids??! How is that even fair!!?

Wishing you a wonderful wonderful Christmas with your family!

I experience the holiday blues too, and it's no fun. I'm totally a sunshine warm girl, go away cold.

Do you have any good book recommendations?!?!

Love that picture of y'all!

Hope this Christmas is the best yet! I'm with you on this winter blues thing. My motto this year is to try not to worry about it, take it one day at a time, and plan some fun things to do--like skiing! :) Merry Christmas!

It was so hard for me when Julian turned 1. but don't worry it will be a fun year again. its so fun to watch them grow ever more. when she starts talking your going to be so proud and it gets easier because they can tell you what they want or whats wrong.:O)

I always go through a bit of seasonal depression after the holidays, too. It's just so dang dark and rainy out here in the PNW I feel like there's no help for it! And this year I can't even look forward to snowboarding, either. :-(

We moved from Louisiana to Illinois last year. This will be our second winter here and I UNDERSTAND the seasonal depression. Where is the sun???? Why is it so cold??? I don't even like the snow lol. I'll be extra sad this year because we aren't going home for Christmas. Traveling 15 hours in the car with a 2 month old isn't my idea of fun. Emily HATES the car seat. We will be going home for the summer though...I have that to look forwards to. =)

and now I am dreaming of a pazookie!! :) I am so not a cold girl either, I prefer the warmer weather. Actually fall temps are perfect for me, but the snow and cold, ugh!

I'm the same way about reading. My husband gets super grumpy when I'm into a really good book because he knows he's going to be ignored until I'm done.

You have such a cute little family... I love looking at your pictures! :) I'm the same way with books... even if it's one I've already read a million times - I can't wait to get back to it and everything else goes on the back burner! I opened up The Count of Monte Cristo again the other night... I can't stop thinking about it and it's driving me bananas!

I always think I have enough self control, that I won't get sucked into a book...but then the book proves me wrong!!

I feel like reading blogs should count as reading! I mean, I still want to read books, but I have to catch up on blog reading too! I can't believe our baby is almost one!
