if I could go back...

If I could go back and relive one memory, I'd choose to relive one day. Surprisingly it's not the day that Mia was born :) I've never loved a tiny human, or any human for that matter, more than I love that baby of mine... but I've always said that I wish I could marry my husband again.
My mom and I kind of had no idea what we were doing when planning my wedding. You see, pinterest hadn't been born back then ;) ha ha! Despite the lack of inspiration that pinterest provides I think everything about my wedding day was perfect. The venue, the decor, the food, the music, the dancing, the guests, etc. My one regret is that we didn't have a videographer. With my undying wish of being able to relive this day over and over, I know that a video would have been the perfect way to do it!
I have to admit that sometimes I really love to have the attention on me (or maybe this isn't a surprise?) so the anticipation leading up to my our big day did not disappoint! I loved having everyone come together to celebrate our love! Gosh, it is such a good feeling having family-member-after-family-member-after-friend-after-someone-who-knows-my-parents-somehow-but-I-don't-really-know-them wish us a happily ever after!

This is the perfect picture of a brand new eager husband and wife :) It's so sweet to look back on our wedding pictures!
The thing I loved most about our wedding day is despite the friends and family that traveled from all over to celebrate, and despite the beautiful weather and amazing reception... Eric and I really didn't notice much of it because we were so wrapped up in each other. We could only see each other. Our innocent blissful love was bursting out of our hearts because we were finally husband and wife forever! Of course our love has grown and matured since then, but it's not quite the fairytale that it was in the beginning, ha! If I could go back I would choose to relive those moments, those feelings over and over again. Luckily we do have from here to eternity to relive that love!
Linking up with Jenni's blogtember!

Our wedding was before Pinterest too and there are things I would have done different.
Doesn't really matter now!

I know I feel a little ripped off that Pinterest wasn't around when I got married either... ;)

Oh girl I am with you! I would love to get married again, because some of the drama that was caused by a bridesmaidzilla I'd totally erase as I'd do all that over again! Pinterest wasn't around for me either :(

YES! This is also what I wrote in today's entry. I wish I could relive my wedding because I felt like a friggin' princess on that day, and my husband was my prince charming and the world was our kingdom. Best. Feeling. Ever. :)

No Pinterest for me either. Although I'm torn about that... I probably never would have been able to make any decisions at all with so many ideas floating around!
I do wish I had a videographer, too though, but it just wasn't in the budget. And it probably wouldn't have been as cool as the wedding videos they make now. (Now I sound really old... but my wedding was only 5 years ago! haha)

I think all of us who didn't get to use pinterest should automatically get a wedding re-do!

Aww I love this post! It's true that everything is foggy from that day except my hubby : ) And Pinterest was just barely started before I planned my wedding, and I so wasn't on it. So I did it all myself too! There were times I later wished I had it, but now I feel like I know my wedding was mine, not swayed by something cute I saw someone else do : )

Beautiful!

And does ANYONE remember much about their wedding??? Not me, that's for sure! I was just SO HAPPY to be marrying the person I love that the rest was a blur, like you... Good thing we get pictures, right? ;)
