fall bucket list

Cornbelly's 2012
1- Buy a candle from Bath & Body Works. I know, silly to put on the bucket list! But I've been hearing so many good things about these candles so I think I need to try one :) What's your favorite scent for autumn that I should try?!

2- Play at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point with our friends. Our weekends haven't been working out quite like we've planned lately, so I'm not sure we will be able to make this work. We've gone the last 2 years and had SO much fun so I am definitely crossing my fingers that we can take Mia this year!

3- Go to a pumpkin patch. My mother in law already sent us home with pumpkins from her garden and it doesn't get better than that! But think of how cute the pictures would be of Mia in a pumpkin patch :) ha ha!

4- Bake all kinds of pumpkin treats. You guys, I've been married for over 5 years and I've NEVER baked a pumpkin treat. Not even once! But I'm determined to use those pumpkins from our family's garden and bake the best treats ever! So please share your favorite pumpkin recipes (because I need all the help I can get)!!

5- Take a drive up the mountain to see the changing leaves. We did this last year and it was BEAUTIFUL! It's definitely something I don't want to miss.

6- Get crafty! It's been so long since I've made any holiday decor so I want to make a craft with friends! I guess I need to search Pinterest for some fun ideas.

7- Spend as much time playing outside as possible. I've heard predictions that this winter is going to be pretty wet and nasty so I want to soak up every ray of sunshine possible before I'm snowed in with a mobile baby that will go stir crazy in our small home (play dates anyone?? We'll have to rotate homes just to get a break, ha)!

My husband and I have gone to Cornbelly's together every year since before we were dating! (Thank you singles ward FHE!)

My favorite pumpkin treats are pumpkin cookies made with a spice cake mix (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/172122016979737298/), pumpkin butter (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/172122016979922685/) and pumpkin french toast (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/172122016979921705/)

And for your crafty needs, I love making Halloween tea light holders with a glass jar and covering with with glue and orange tissue paper. You can use black paper to make silhouettes on the orange. Mia's probably too little to help, but maybe in a couple years!! :) I love this season!

I'm super excited for fall. I decorated last week:) My favorite smell from B&BW right now is Sweater Weather. It's really light and clean. I LOVE it. One of my favorite fall recipes to make are these bars. EVERYONE loves them, I always take them to Thanksgiving and Holiday dinners. I doubt I'll be getting very "crafty" because we have tons of projects going on at our house right now. I would love to see what you do!

Okay, seriously, B&BW has the BEST candles. I was at the mall over the weekend, and I had to force myself to stay away from there! That place is like a black hole for my wallet. I want to buy all the things!

Here's a simple pumpkin treat.
Take one can of pumpkin puree & mix it with any kind of cake mix (I've tried Spiced & Chocolate so far & both are really yummy)
Don't mix the cake by the directions on the box just mix the cake mix & pumpkin. Top off with cream cheese frosting, if you like :)
Oh bake at 350 degrees for 25 mins.

Fall is too short a season not to live it up! Have fun. :)

The "autumn" candle from B&BW is absolutely wonderful. I stock up on it (and the wallflowers) every year. They have a bunch of great scents right now, though. Look online to get coupons first!

You will also get a great $10 off $30 coupon once you make a purchase, and it never expires. I go to B&BW at least every other month to keep my home smelling good, and it's totally worth the money -- plus, it's much cheaper with all the coupons. :)

B&BW has a s'mores scent this year! I've only smelled it in store, but it smelled really good! It doesn't take the place of pumpkin, but it's definitely something different.

I'm guilty of buying holiday candles then forgetting to light them :/ but I'm hoping this year is the year of change.

Oh girl, I love bath & Body works candles...the only downfall on them is that they burn up really quick but they are fabulous so I never care!!...My favorites are the really clean scents!! I don't have a particular one that I love off the top of my head, but there are some new ones in there and I hear they are great!!! Go out and treat yourself girl ;-)

My favorite pumpkin treat is baking the seeds-- a little bit of garlic powder and sea salt.. YUM! And we are going to a pumpkin patch this year. I didn't think there would be any close to us (beach town here) but I ended up finding one about 30-45 minutes away! WOOT!

Look at that bump! And yes, you guys need to go to Thanksgiving point. That would be so much fun! Wishing we could be in Utah and meet up with you guys!

I love your fall list!!! It always seems like fall has the best activities for doing. The farm we got married on has a pumpkin patch every year, we went last year, and that's when we booked the venue for our wedding. We're really looking forward to going back in a few weeks and wandering the fields!

I always put "drink copious amounts of apple cider" on my list. It's my favorite fall thing!
