Loving: that I accidentally matched Mia yesterday. I even had gold sandals on! I'm thinking that there will be more mommy+Mia matching outfits in our future :)
Reading: I actually just finished The Undaunted by Gerald Lund. The book is almost 800 pages and it took me well over a month to read it all, but oh my. That book was amazing. I definitely recommend it!
Learning: that I need to take a power nap each day! Mia is on a pretty regular sleep schedule, she goes down between 8:30-9pm and wakes up between 5:30-6am to eat. When I'm done feeding her I put her back down and she sleeps til 9am, but I stay awake. I've figured out that I can accomplish SO much during those 3 hours and I feel great! I actually feel more energized than if I go back to sleep and wake up when she's ready to eat again. But my mind and body still need time to rest during the day because a taking care of a baby is hard work! If I don't get that nap, I'm seriously dragging by 8pm.
Trying to: nag less. I mentioned it briefly in my previous post, but it's a habit I really wanna kick to the curb. Eric doesn't need it, and it'll be one less thing on my plate to worry about, ha ha!
Excited for: our 5 year anniversary that is right around the corner. Time flies!
Wishing: that I could surprise Eric with an amazing gift for his birthday but that's just not gonna happen. I have zero ideas and I'd rather get him something I know he wants, instead of wasting money by trying to be creative. Plus, I have no brain power to be creative right now, ha ha! Besides.... there's no way on earth I can top last year's birthday surprise ;)
Needing: an iPhone 5 cover. Eric is about to ground me from my phone... I don't know why?? I've only dropped it twice :) (Twice is really good when it comes to me and phones!) I'm trying to avoid the otterbox, if it's possible to find a cute and dependable cover (ha!) So please, help a

She is so cute and you are so pretty!!
I know Otter Boxes aren't the prettiest, but once every baby I know turns 12 months old, phones are destroyed times a million. This is coming from a non-mom, but maybe there are some cute Otter Box-esque ones out there!
Gerald Lund was in my Dads ward growing up. He was my dads primary teacher ha
J Crew cases are my fav :) I'd give you one of mine but I have the 4...
she is SO cute! that is a pretty good sleeping schedule she's on - you should definitely take advantage and take a nap!!!
I am with ya on the napping!! Just a 20 min power nap does me good. I too am awful when it came to the phone---I bought a rubbery/grippy one and I've never dropped it since. {I got a cute Kate Spade pink w/ polka dots} I also run it through the dishwasher from time to time b/c I think the phones get super germy?! Works for me. LOVE the matching outfits--Mia is so beautiful.
http://elagostore.com these phone cases are solid to the core. i've dropped my phone once and it didn't dent the case and it didn't dent the phone ;). i have the turquoise and yellow one.
also you look beautiful in this photograph.
Get a speck cover. Thin & cute!! They are just as durable as the huge cases. Check them out. I've had mind for about a month.
Oh, I was against the otterbox at first, but I absolutely LOVE mine. My iPhone looks like it did when I pulled it out of the box four months ago - not a scratch on it anywhere, and it's been dropped, stepped on, and accidentally launched across the room (I tend to wave my arms around when I get really worked up about stuff, and when my phone is in my hands, it doesn't always end well). I have really big hands, though, so maybe that's why the otterbox doesn't bother me? I know when I take my phone out of its case, it just feels so thin and tiny, and it's hard for my man hands to grab. ;)
You're so right on the power nap! I was the same way when Ethan was younger and was waking up for that early morning feed. It was prime time to shower, clean, do laundry, blog, etc. and it was so nice to have that time and then nap later.
That photo is just adorable!!!!
I would not recommend the otter box! Several people & I know (& many more you can find online reviews). It messes up the power button. If anything I would get the lifeproof case. Expensive, but compare that price to a new phone! :)

I'm on the hunt for a new iPhone case too! There are a few that are super cute, but I'm not sure on the durability factor. Still researching!:-) xoxo
Wow! I wish I had the motivation to get up that early. You go, girl! I always sleep till the very last minute, which is about 7:30.
My eyes can't be open if kiptyns aren't but I can't take power naps with her so maybe that's why?! Haha nah they'd still be closed! I have the otterbox and it has kept my phone alive many of times and I don't think it looks to horrible!
Great sleep schedule! :)
I match Shelby all the time. It's totally redic! Cute!
She is adorable!
That picture is SO SO cute! I can't believe how big she is getting!!! :)
You and Mia look so cute!! I love that you both wore gold sandals :) I remember taking naps, those were the good ol days! If I could read novels, I would totally read that, until then I may just have to wait for them to make a movie out of it ;) Oh how exciting your anniversary is coming up! And that was such a cute way to surprise him last year for his bday!! Adorable post, all of it!
ps: here are a couple shops that have some cute iphone cases, the last one is where I got mine and I have dropped mine a few times and it has kept it safe so far!

Thats great that you've figured out a routine with Mia for sleeping. It's tricky and they're changing so fast!! She's a gorgeous little girl :) and get a kate spade one! They're seriously the cutest and I haven't had problems with mine. they're cheapest on amazon :)
Oh my gosh, it is crazy, I have mentioned this before but my hubby's name is Eric and we are about to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, what is the date of your anniversary?

You both are so adorable.
OH my word. Mia's outfit is adorable. I definitely think you need a mommy/baby photo shoot with matching outfits!!!
That picture of you and Mia is beyond adorable! I'm with you on the suggestions for cute yet reliable iphone cases. I'm getting one soon and I want to be prepared.
Super cute pic, I love the coordinating outfits! :) And don't feel bad, I drop and lose my phone constantly. I'm not allowed to get a smart phone, lol.
First off, I love that you and Mia wore matching outfits. You could use more of those. :) She's so cute in her little tutu and polka dots!
I know we just got iPhones (I haven't had a chance to drop mine yet), but I second whoever said the speck case in your comments above. It's pretty durable and not as big and clunky as some of the other protective cases.
Happy Monday!
Just started following your blog, I love it! I have an otterbox. My baby threw it out of the car window, and it still works perfectly fine! Not the cutest.... but worth it for the protection. LOL -Char
love mia's outfit!! Ahhh, and her little headband and shoes...what a sweetie!! So awesome she is such a great sleeper! I am learning that the nap will soon be my friend. :)
Have a wonderful day! Xoxox
