Disneyland + Halloween = adorable!

3 years ago, sometime in October, Eric and I went to Disneyland with my family. We had such a fun time despite the hotel accommodations! You see, we figured we'd get the best deal by booking a suite. Eric and I would have our own bedroom, my parents would have their own bedroom, and my brothers could... well I didn't really care what my brothers did as long as I got my own room with the hubs haha. But the suites in California (at least the hotels by Disneyland) are unlike any other. They pretty much scrunch a crappy couch with a pull out bed into a normal sized hotel room and call it a suite. I'm not even kidding. Imagine our surprise as we walked into an ordinary hotel room, besides the fact that there was no room to walk around, and found out that we were practically sleeping on top of my brothers. GAH! And on the crappy pull out bed no less!
My dad went right down to the desk to get them to switch our room and they pretty much told him tough luck! Ah, I was so mad! They did move us to a different room that was bigger, but we still got stuck on the crappy pull out bed, and a curtain to separate me and Eric from my family. I'm really not kidding. It's safe to say that those 5 nights were some of the longest of my life :) I love my family... but the next time we go on vacation together I'm booking a separate room no matter what! No more suites for me :)
While I'm reminiscing I'll share some pictures from the trip. Disneyland is even more adorable at Halloween time! Oh and those of you who asked to see pictures of my short hair (from this post), I have short hair in these pictures :)

The only reason Eric wasn't pulling the same face as my brother's in these pictures is because 1. we were still cute newly weds and 2. he was still sucking up to my mom. Now that he's got her wrapped around his finger he has her agreeing with him that I take too many pictures. Puhleeease!

Like I said, we had SO much fun on this trip but I was just so ready to have my privacy back as well as a break from Disneyland. We swore we weren't going back until we have kids but Eric and I are just dying to go back! Hopefully within the next year... maybe 2 :) I'd really like to see Disneyland all decorated for Christmas!

HAHA newlyweds + same room as other people = no bueno.
Go while you don't have kids!! Because after that you'll be stuck taking turns on the "big kid" rides until all your kids are older. :)

The happiest place on earth...with a pull out bed and curtains?! Ay yi yi....but it still looked fun! :)

Oh my, that had to be such a pain, ESPECIALLY for newlyweds! I LOVE your brothers faces in the pics! ;)

Awww, Disney at Halloween looks SO cute. I've never been to Disney World, but hope to one day. My hubby hasn't either, so when we take the kids it will be a first for ALL of us! :)

Your hair is adorable short! :)

I went sometime during elementary school, but would love to go back again. I don't remember too much! I looove how it is decorated for Halloween. Oh my gosh, too cute. I would love to go at Christmas time too!

I've never been to Disneyland during Halloween season, but now I totally want to! I got to go for Christmas a few years ago, and it was INCREDIBLE.

And girl. You can rock the short hair, too! You have a freaking good face! I do love your current look, though. You are a beauty.

MMM I live about 2 hours away from all the goodies Orlando has to offer (that is the one you went to, right?) And it's so tempting not to drive down every weekend!

Ha! We went to Disney World in May and said we wouldn't go back until we had kids...but they're redoing some of it and we both kind of want to go back next summer! It's so fun!! But we'll see. I like to do different things for vacation each year. And this year we're trying to save money so sometime before we're 80 we can afford to have some babies! haha!

Disneyland in the fall is the absolute BEST!! We are going for Christmas, and while those decorations are precious, they are nothing on the Halloween ones!

oh no!!! LOL! Yes, separate rooms for sure!!! I'm sorry you had to go through that - I feel your pain. I love my family so much, but being cooped up in a hotel room with them is just too much for my patience! ;)

i'm sorry the accommodations were no-good...but thanks for sharing your experience so I'll know better when we go and stay with Disney.

I went to the happiest place on earth with the hubs for the first time just over 2 years ago...and LOVED EVERY MINUTE!! I've heard Halloween and Christmas time there is beyond magical :) so going for both of those holidays is on my bucket list!! Loved all your pictures :) and i hope you get back for Christmas some time!

LOL!!! I had to laugh a little at the hotel story. Sorry!! But I know exactly how you feel... something similar has happened with my hubs and I and his mother and sister when we were newlyweds. Not fun! lol

Love this!! Makes me want to make a special trip there :).

Sorry about the hotel room. I guess I've always been lucky with hotel rooms when it comes to California. I bet it was fun to be there at Halloween though. I've always want to go in October! It's fun at Christmas...other than the worst crowds of the year! P.S. I want to go to Disney soon too!

Looks like you had a blast minus the sharing a room part...not fun, not fun!

Well that must have been a supper sucky hotel room surprise. How were you supposed to get your freak on with the fam all up in there? Haha.
But disney looks like SO much fun!

you know, i'd actually like to go to disney without the kids! it's so stressful with them, that I don't really get to take everything in and enjoy it!! my daughter has gone twice, and i'm thinking we will be making the trek in a few years to take my son!

That looks like so much fun! I know what you mean about the family-in-a-can living though... I HATE having to go to bed with my hubby when my family is in the same room! Can you say AWKWARD?! Still... pretty amazing. And speaking of amazing, you look amazing with short hair, lady- I don't know WHAT you're talking about if you don't like it. So chic and grownup! LOVE!

P.S. I miss you! I've been so busy that I've been a bad friend- so sorry! :/

Hi Courtney!

I'm your newest follower and I know you checked out my blog once before, but I'd love if you continued to read/follow it!

Such a bummer about the hotel! But I'm sure being at the "happiest place on earth" with your family and hubs made up for it :)
You look great it short hair! Even if the pictures are older, you can rock that hair length girl!
