nursery/crib bedding inspiration {HELP!}

Our lease will be up 3 months after baby girl is born and we will be moving out. For that reason I just can't seem to find any motivation to set up a nursery. I mean, why would I work so hard to put together the perfect nursery, just to pack it up in a couple months after it's finished? We're talking about buying a home next (we'll see what happens... a lot can change in just a few months) which would be amazing! I'd love to paint walls and have total control on what goes on under our roof! If I knew I could do whatever I want for the nursery I would have no problem throwing together a perfect little room for our perfect little girl :) I would definitely paint walls. Maybe have an accent wall? I will definitely do some type of vinyl design. I probably won't do this, but I'm in love with the tree!

But I also love the idea of having a chandelier-like mobile to hang over the crib. (That's totally the princess wanna-be coming out in me, ha ha!)

And I definitely want this quote in the nursery.... whether it's in a frame on the dresser, or the vinyl on the wall. I don't know where or how, I just know it needs to be in her room.

I have plenty of other ideas, but I just can't picture how to make them flow to create the perfect nursery. Once we move I know I'll have an easier time because I'll actually see the room that I'll be able to transform. Right now there are just too many what ifs.... the room could be tiny or it could be huge. It could have 1 window or 3. Who knows!
But I do know one thing for certain... Eric and I have decided to set up the crib before we move. I was going to keep it in the box so it wouldn't get damaged during the move but the more I've read, the more I realize that baby girl might prefer the crib before she's 3 months old. Or we might prefer having her in the crib and out of our room, ha ha. So I NEED to get the crib bedding before she's born but the trouble is... I don't know what to get!! Since I have no idea how I'm going to do her nursery, and I just can't get inspired while living in this rental, I NEED HELP! I don't sew and I'm not very savvy with online shopping so please tell me, which etsy shops and websites are your favorite for the crib bedding?? I'm all for going gender neutral with the bedding and going all girly with the rest of the decor... but I can't find anything. I don't know why but this is stressing me out so badly! I just need help, inspiration, advice, ideas, ANYTHING! Help me... pretty please? :)

Love your ideas so far. We're in the same boat, though. We won't be setting up a nursery until we buy a house next year. All I can suggest is to purchase things in the colors you like. We're going for green, yellow, and gray. It'll come together in time and seriously, baby doesn't care!

I totally agree with you. I told you were on the same path as you, lease is up and moving out after she's 3 months...so the pack-n-play on my registry is an all in one bassinet/play pen/changing table, so we're using that til we move and keeping the crip safe at my moms in it's box.But if we had the space, I'd use her crib like you guys are.

I'm planning on stciking to bold nursery designs and less on the walls. For my girl I found some awesome zebra print bedding and such with hott pink detail and I don't want to take a way from that.. I may simply leave the walls white. Because, I plan on doing the whole "hanging the wooden painted initials inside of a frame" on the wall above the crib. With all that wildness going on I can't do too much to the walls. I saw this cute pin where someone took a small, round, simple lamp table and hot glued a tutu around the side of the round top. PRESH. I will def be doing this. (: andddddddddd I'm not even pregnant.. so I sound pathetic. LOL. Just thought I'd share!

We are in the process of buying as well and I have decided to take the crib out, but since I dont know what the room will look like when we move, I am waiting on buying the bedding and such. With my last, I realized that the bedding was more decor, she didnt use it, so I will just get sheets for the mattress and the breathable bumper, as well as obviously...blankets =) And so when we move, I can decide on what I want and I wont have to worry if there are any more curtain panels for extra windows we might have in his room, or that I bought too many and it was a waste of money, yada yada yada. We r keeping it simple for now!

I have something similar like that mobile above my babies crib...I love it but sometimes I worry that they'll fall on her or something. But I do love the chandelier look for a little girl!

Oh, I'm so excited for you!!! Just a few more months! You're one glowing, beautiful mama!
and I love those ideas you posted!! That tree in the first photo is GORGEOUS, and I've always wanted to add the sparkly chandeliers. That last quote makes me tear up. So true.

We live in an apartment, so painting the walls and such was hard. I wrote this post about our Classic Pooh themed nursery..it was featured on The Wise Baby website too. Maybe it'll help?

I have links to where I got my furniture and stuff :)

Good luck mama!<3

Definitely put her in a crib - the sooner the better. :) I've had countless friends that kept them in their room and then tried to move them to a crib turning into a huge ordeal. It's so much easier when they're used to it from the start.
Since The Admiral is a boy, I didn't look at many girlie crib sets but I'm sure you can find something adorable!

I agree that putting the crib up is a good idea. I put my girls in their cribs to sleep at night when they came home 1month old and now they sleep really well in their cribs. Best decision ever! My advice would be to keep it simple. They ( I don't know who "they" is but the NICU told us) say not to put anything in your babies crib other than a fitted sheet and the blanket they are wrapped in. I thought it was bogus until I brought my girls home and now I see why. You'd be surprised at how easily a baby can wiggle until their blankets and anything in reach is wrapped around their face or their face is smashed up against it! So keep it simple. I just got a cute sheet and I made my mom make crib skirts for their cribs and thats all. My girls like to be swaddled when they go to bed so it works out well not to have a big blanket in their crib. We just swaddle them in what ever blanket they are using and lay them in their crib and then we don't have to worry about them suffocating. This is just my opinion, everyone is different but I hope it helps. This is the fun part of pregnancy. Enjoy it!

Are there any colors you're leaning towards that?

I love our Migi baby bedding, but some of my other favorite brands are Oilo for modern looks, and Giggle for sheet basics.

I'm in a very similar situation! We're moving 5 months after she's born. It's more time, but still not enough time to paint walls and plan the room around what she will be in where were' living now.

What I'm doing is just getting really cute bedding. I picked out the fabrics and my mom is making it. You might be able to find someone in the ward who is willing to make it for you or something. But I LOVE our fabrics. I think it'd be really hard to do gender nuetral bedding with a super girly room unless you were to do neutrals like gray and white. That could be really cute though! I made a banner for her to go over her crib. It costed like a total of $2 and adds a good pop of color since we can't paint. Good with with it all! :D

I love that quote!

But first, I totally feel your pain! We are moving from our apartment in 7 months after the baby is born and I'm like, "Ugh, we can't paint and should we even try to make it a room?" My answer was, yes! We aren't painting, but we set up shelves and added cute little baskets to make it homey. We also invested in a glider which you can take from one home to another. I'm sure that you will make it your own as well! :)

LOVE that candlier too! So precious and a must get!

PS-I loved Restoration Hardware for their bedding and found similar bedding for $26 at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Oh my gosh this is so hard! There are so many different places to get bedding! Want to know a little secret that I have learned? Buy toddler bed sheets! They still fit and are SO MUCH EASIER to put on the crib mattress! I figured this out when we switched from crib bedding to toddler bedding. lol

I love your inspiration photos! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I know I totally commented on this when you first posted it, but I you know you are moving I would just buy everything you want for the new place and then set it up. She will probably sleep in your room until then anyways. :-)
