warning; I got crafty :)

Want to see what I've been up to for the past couple of days??

Even though Eric thinks my wreath is lame (men) I freakin' love it! And I better love it... because this was a 2 day project! I'm not a crafty girl, I want to be, but I'm just not. But when I saw this project on Taylor's blog I just knew I had to try it, and I'm so glad I did! (Even though I whined and complained, was super slow at everything, and messed up more than once.. haha) I've decided to make one craft per holiday, and with the help of crafty friends I'm pretty sure I'll make it happen :)
Speaking of Taylor, I want to give a big thank you and shout out to Taylor and Emma for for mentioning me on your blogs! I am totally feeling the bloggy love, and I'm definitely feeling blessed to be making so many new friends!
While I'm at at, let's talk about friends :) The past couple of months I have been feeling extremely blessed, very satisfied with my life, and simply happy. I dare say northern Utah feels like home now. And I owe a big part of that to all of my friends!

Plus so many more that aren't pictured.
I was so worried when we moved up here that I wouldn't make any new friends and that life would be miserable. I was so wrong! It has been so fun to live by old friends, grow closer to other friends, and to gain new friendships that I know will last throughout my life. If and when we move away, it's going to break my heart to put distance between my new friends. But I'm just not going to worry about that right now :) I am looking forward to having a much happier winter, thanks to the help of all of my friends! I am so blessed!

The braid in your hair (one of the top pictures) is so cute! And I love the wreath! I like the idea of doing one craft project per holiday because I do not have many holiday decorations yet.

Oh my gosh I so needed to read this right now... I'm still worried that I will 'never' make friends in Florida. It's much more difficult moving to a new place than I remembered... but I did it before and it just takes time. So happy that northern Utah feels like home to you! It's not easy.... and I hope you don't have to move away anytime soon. (:

Darling wreath, perfect for Halloween!!

That wreath is amazing!!! Okay, when I said I do Halloween crafts, I literally meant like making tiny ghosts from tissues and cotton balls...or folding and cutting paper to make a spider web. You know, things pre-schoolers make. Haha! You are beyond that!!! :)

How Halloweenie! That's a crazy amount of ribbons and looks like a lot of work, so good job sticking with it girly :-) And fun pedi times with girlfriends is one of my past time activities too :-)

It's always more fun getting crafty when you've got a friend to join you!!! I think your wreath is awesome - not lame AT ALL! :o) Men don't know what they're talking about.

As far as making new friends in new places, I know ALL about that with all the moves we've made. It's always hard to say bye, but you know you've always got people all over the country thinking about you and offering a place to stay when you get to come back through! :o)

UMM... Holy poo! You are amazing! Send one of those wreaths my way girl. And I had to write you b/c I'm freaking out. My race is next weekend, and I have literally barely trained at all. I'm terrified. AH! But knowing you are doing your first one too makes me feel better. Good luck on your training! And congrats on all your compliments girl! So glad it's whipping your cute tush into shape. ; )

Wreath is SO creative!! Tell hubby that if you bought that at the store, his bank account would have been $30 or more smaller! ;) Maybe he'll warm up to your cute crafts then!

OHHHHHHHH! That wreath rocks!!! How did you make the ribbons curly? You are a crafty girl! Now get to work on that emergency kit!! ;0)

Ashley {hudson's happenings} said...

Courtney!!! THat is the CUTEST craftiest wreath I have ever seen! I wish I could make more time for fun crafts like this! But I fear that Hudson would destroy it as quickly as I try to make it. HA! ;)

& how do you look that CUTE while crafting!? BOTH days! Especially love your braid.

Girl, you'll have friends wherever you go- you're pretty much the easiest person to like, I kid you not. :) Your wreath turned out amazing. I saw it on Taylor's blog and was like... "Hmmmm... intriguing... but no. Not patient enough." Haha- but I'm glad you were!!
