First swim of the year yesterday! Mia loooooved it!
Loving: the my parents are in town for the week! WE LOVE VISITORS! My parents met us here the weekend we moved, but that doesn't count as having company because they basically unloaded the truck, unpacked a few boxes, then went back home. We (especially Mia) are so happy to have familiar faces we know and love here to stay with us and plaaaay! Who's next?!

Reading/Watching: other than blogs and Mia's books, I'm not reading anything new. I am ready to take the plunge and dive into a new series! Recommendations?
Between work and the gym, Eric is so busy that we just crash when he gets home so our shows have been put on hold for the time being. It does feel good to know that we have a list of shows waiting for us on Netflix when we have the time again :) I, on the other hand, have been busy watching The Bachelor (I'm the one that waits until they are all loaded on Hulu to start watching! This is how I spend Mia's nap time, ha ha!) and Gilmore Girls.

Trying to: start planning fun indoor activities and crafts to keep Mia and I busy this summer. Aside from our early morning outings to the pool, we will be couped up inside most of the day to avoid the extreme summer heat. I would love ideas/links to your favorite inside activities with kids!

Wishing: that I could send some of our Arizona heat to the freezing parts of the country. I almost feel bad complaining about our 88 degrees this week while half of you are buried under feet of snow BUT.... it's too early for 90 degree weather! I did just move from frozen Utah a month and a half ago! It's official- the summer heat is gonna kill me!

Excited for: work to slow down a bit so that we can soak up more time with Eric! We are itching to get out and explore before it gets too hot! Plus the list of places we want to go eat at is so long it's not even funny... HA! While we miss Eric like crazy, I am so grateful that he is willing to work so hard to provide for us! Work is going SO well for him that I can't even be too sad about him being gone so much ;) I'm just excited it's finally winding down and we will get to play more!

Man I could go for a pool day. It was in the 70's and sunny here yesterday. It left me thinking about swimming in just a couple months!

Did the AC ever get fixed?

A pool day, I'm so jealous! That's so aweome your parents are visiting, I know Mia loved seeing them, too!

I actually posted a bunch of book reviews today on my blog. I think there are a few you might like. For a fun easy read I recommend The Selection series, it's super cute and kind of like the bachelor but with royalty and actual intrigue!

Thanks for sending us some of your heat, we are in the 60s today, woooooohooooo! <3 to you!

Have so much fun with your parents in town!! We will gladly take some of your heat up here, but it's at least getting into the warmer trend. We haven't had a high in the 30's all week (mostly 50s and 60's) which is a trend I'm happy about :)
Take a look at my Book Reviews tab on my blog--there are a ton of really good ones (and most of them are super cheap on the kindle)

So happy that your parents are visiting!! I remember being really young and not being able to go outside in summers because of the heat in florida so I feel your pain! xo, Biana - SUMMERLANDISH: DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DID

That pool and slide looks like so much fun! Is that at your housing community? Or is that some sort of water park. And looks like you guys had the run of the place, pretty awesome!

Ohhhh Phoenix summers are my favorite!!!!! Over 100 is like heaven to me! However, you guys don't have the ocean like we do so I'm not sure how that life is haha. I spend all summer laying on the beach and swimming in the cold ocean. I imagine you have lakes or something? I have no idea haha But good luck!! I can't wait for our first swim of the year!!!!!!!!!! I think it'll be in April when we fly to Florida

I have book recommendations for you. Liane Moriarty writes excellent books and the her newest and best is "Little Big Lies". The other good one is "The Husband's Secret. They are making movies are two of her books right now and they are really interesting.

Don't worry, the "average" is like 75 right now! The fun part of the roasty toasty summer is the monsoons and crazy storms!

Oh girl, I feel ya on the heat! It's supposed to be 90 here today. What the what? Isn't it March??? Ugh. That looks like such a fun water park though!! If you can go in the mornings before it gets crowded, I think you're golden! Mia will have such a blast this summer! And YAY for visitors!

So fun that you got to go swimming!! Our snow is slowly melting, but it is still so cold! I'm so glad Eric is loving his job and that you are able to get out of the house to do some fun things, even when he is working. Enjoy your parents visiting, I know how nice it is to have visitors come for a bit!

Yay for your parents visiting you! I can't even imagine that heat and I'm not too jealous...I felt warm today and it was only in the 60s here!

that's what we do! get stuck inside because it is too hot. It is a nice flip in the winter to be able to run around outside all day without dying. Lots of art projects! Books! Play-doh! Memory flip cards/matching cards!
